Isn’t better to say what actual problem is than blaming the language?
So I guess it's back to plain old Ben Brereton!
Surely though he spent 6 months in Spain so he must have picked up a little more than a smattering of Spanish? I'm of the belief that it's cos the new coach of Chile Gareca just doesn't rate him. God only knows how but imo he's turned himself into a marmite player, some rate him but not the ones who know owt about footy.
After criticising him for 5 years I will now give him a little credit........ he's better than Sigurdsson!

What a lazy coño though.
I mean these guys (including other dumb asses that never learned one word of another language even though they played in the country) have loads of time on their hands AND loads of money to employ personal language teachers, AND Ben has got a massive motive to learn (which is the biggest factor).

I bet if he was the next messi there wouldn’t be a question of the language barrier. I agree however very lazy not to learn the language

That coach clearly doesn’t rate him and knows nothing about strikers. Bens mother is Chilean and I’m sure he’s heard her speak the language since he was a child.

More annoying is we paid £7 million for raw talent allowed him to develop and then let his contract run down and leave for free.
Laughable if it wasn’t typical of waggot run rovers. Extending that assets contract for very little was easily possible. Covid came don’t renew it save a small amount and then loose it for free. Prepared to ruin the ship for an appath of tar is Mr Waggot

Spot on there Peter. How anyone can defend Waggot is beyond me. Ben never wanted to leave, he just wanted to be paid the going rate for a good striker and if we had got promoted under Mowbray he may have been rewarded so, sadly we will never know. I'm sure his performance tonight at Anfield where he was the sole striker at times and facing several Liverpool defenders will have attracted the attention of other clubs. He still found time to chase back and help defend though. I don't think Villareal will be short of buyers for him.
I'm pretty sure waggot is a paid employee, he won't make the big decisions without recourse to the owners.
Also most players appear to be planning the same exits these days. We look like losing Gallagher and Dolan for nothing pretty soon whilst they will bank a hefty signing on fee elsewhere. Tell me how would you get these lads to sign a new contract without a similar bung which imo would just unsettle all the rest of the squad?
