I really hope he signs somewhere else and shows this rtupid manager what a hugh mistake hei is making
Totally agree Alan. Another poor decision. We have to trim the wages 30 percent this summer is the rumour though for the new football rules.

Expect more departures.

It's not unreasonable to want expenditure to equal income though is it?
It’s the football league EFL new rules. That said Dacky had an option of extension so we must have been miles apart from his existing wages to what we were prepared to offer.

Dack 18k
Ayala 14k
BBD 7K

Then you’ve got

Butterworth 2k to leave.

That’s easily 250k per month with NICs and EFL pension contributions.

To be honest if expenditure equalled income for Rovers, we'd likely be fighting a relegation battle every season. So hopefully Venkys find a way to get round these EFL rules and continue keeping us punching above our weight.

But even then every player's value has to be carefully assessed before offering new contracts. Said in another thread about Dack's cost in recent years far outweighing his return. Its a no brainer for me, Rovers can't afford bench warmers on even a third of what Dack was on.

People seem to think Dack will be playing for another Championship club and that might well be the case.

But how about a Wrexham move as a leftfield choice? I know it is the 4th tier, but it is a club with ambition, probably one that could pay his wages and also the glitz that the American actors have brought there could be an extra attraction for a "social media star couple".
There have been reports of extra roles for a couple of the Wrexham players in one of said actors upcoming super heroe movies.

They would not have to move house either as the drive from Manchester to Wrexham is barely 10 minutes longer that to Blackburn.

Players leaving don't upset me as much as they once did. One gets numbed to the pain. Certainly since the pain of shearer and duff leaving I'm much less sensitive against anyone else leaving.

The pain of Dack being sacrificed on the cross of not being the manager’s favourite together with the find of the century being sacrificed for a fee (his wages must be minimal) are just too much for me to stomach. It actually gives me physical pain. I honestly don’t know what to do. I live in Accrington but I’m not sure I can raise any enthusiasm for Stanley. It’s a decision I have to make soon

I am with you to some degree Alan - but the truth is - Dack isnt the player he was, and we do need to set up a team to suit his strengths rather than him fitting in to other systems
I am totally gutted he is going - but it is more for the fact I so wanted him to recover from his horror show of injuries
He is a player with a real gift for seeing a bigger picture - quickly! and putting himself in the right place. A cool finisher and a team player
I hope he gets a chance somewhere and proves Rovers wrong
But...........I think it is probably the right decision to release him........very sadly!
Not sure who else you are talking about - seriously!
Is "find of the century" Adam Wharton?
Its all paper talk at this stage - and I think Blue &WH halves covers his "career" brilliantly in his post
It is very early days and teams are going to bully him, close him down quickly - has he got the Tugay touch (that ability to make himself some time?) Hopefully WE will find out next season

Question is with the benefit of a once only trip in a tardis would anyone bring back a 25 year old dack or a 25 year old tugay? Not a difficult decision is it?:D

There isn’t a 25 year old Tugay but there is teenage Wharton and he belongs to Rovers and there’s no 25 year old Dack but there is a 29 year old and he was Rover!s too.

Interesting post on the LT about Dack. I wonder how much of this is true?

Yes he did request time off to go down under and quite rightly turned down. Add to that refusing to train the extra day a week the squad was asked and subsequently demoted to the U21s "that came from a player by the way" Derogatory comments from his sidekick on instagram and quickly deleted during a game. Dack was gotten rid of for just cause he's a trouble maker in the dressing room just like Mulgrew was only Atomic can't see it.”

I don’t believe this Both managers he has been under have always commented that he was the hardest trainer in the squad and on the pitch he is everywhere. Why are people trying to do him down after all he has done for this club?

I also don’t believe a word of this nonsense. Dack could not function in our style of play now; that’s why he’s gone.
