Of course I celebrated at Cardiff! And at Wembley 87! Bear in mind at Cardiff we were a Premier league team with Premier league players back then and (but for injuries and suspensions) had an equal chance when going toe to toe with Spurs. Good as they are DG and Bradley Dack aren't up to the standard of Jansen and Cole. We have no one in our midfield now to even come close to the quality of Dunny and Duffer. Oh and as for Friedel v Raya..... we'd better not even go there eh Abbey?:imp:

Mark Hughes in midfield - masterstroke.
The Spurs players couldn't get rid of the ball quick enough for fear of a clattering :D
Just don't want to think about it being 17 years ago by the time this final will be played :worried:

There is therapy for anger issues gord...funny how I haven't compared any pre venkyscum player with now. It's also speaks volumes how you compare players with no emoji but as soon as you mention Raya you post angry one. Now don't take this as I'm comparing in talent way but I'm working and not time to Google/wikki or whatever but a comparison as to what Brad was doing at the same ages as Raya.....
At the end of the day we should be playing the strongest side we have especially for the travelling fans.

Normally I would agree that we should play the strongest team we can put out.

I think we all knew, however, that September was going to be a hard month.
After 3 tough matches in 8 days, not losing any of them and the team playing our of their skins - sometimes whilst seriously under the cosh defensively - I can see, and agree with, the argument for letting some of them miss a 550-mile round trip on a coach.
Anticipated return time is around 4am which will wipe out any sessions on Wednesday too.

Hopefully, the team that is put out will contain enough decent players, many with something to prove to force their way into the first XI, so they shouldn't be cannon fodder for Bournemouth.

Rovers official Twitter says we sold 600 which is good going for the CowPie Cup.

I still refer to the opposition as Bournemouth and Boscombe United rather than this AFC Bournemouth rubbish.

I will listen to it tonight on Radio Blackburn with a couple of bottles of Mackeson Stout and a Castella cigar.
