I haven't really made my mind up who to favour yet waggy. I'm no great fan of either tbh but I can't help supporting underdogs though even when I start a match undecided. Prob something in my make up and probably why I support our lot.
Daft part about it all is that every team in the Champions League resembles the League of Nations yet we all get duped by the colours and the name.

It’s a difficult one . To be honest , and I think you’re making a similar point Drog , although these are English based teams , how many English players play for them ? Very few I’d guess . So it’s not like the old days when Liverpool, Forest and Villa triumphed in the old European Cup , with largely English / UK / Irish players .

I’ve always routed for the Lancashire ( traditional boundaries) teams , with the exception of the Dingles , in games where there’s this sort of choice , so I’m going for Liverpool, but I can’t say I’m that bothered either way . Just hope it’s a good game and the fans behave themselves.

Brilliant! This should be in the IT thread! I hope they sack the spotty faced, geeky anoraks in their IT dept who cocked up so that it will teach others of their ilk to take more care in future. I really hope Zavi (whatever they are) can be sued up to their eyeballs by each and every 'winner'. If it costs the company big time and the Chief Exec / Chairman has to fall on his sword then all the better because it would serve to warn other company Directors that IT are never infallible or to be trusted! All this comes about because the bosses simply don't have a clue about IT, lazy bstards can't be arsed to learn but know that they have to use it and stupidly place their trust in modern day YTS* kids. If they get away with it these all too frequent IT cock ups will continue forever. It really is the bane of the modern world. Computers may be infallible (used to be called 'TOMS' years ago... Stadium nowhere near full and fans sat a country mile from the pitch.
Now means Arsenal will have gone three seasons without Champions League football.
