Most goalscorers do a job for the team as well as get onto the end of a setup. Rhodes does nothing if he does not score. I'd much rather have a Dack who's a worker too than the slow Rhodes. I'm not one who thinks he's lazy, just too slow to keep up.
Still may be. They don't tell us everything and it's better to say nothing until it's fait accompli.

As discussed earlier in the season IMO most of this current squad aren't good enough for the step up.
Graham (whilst I like him ) didnt cut it in the championship - so why would that change?
Bennett - squad player?
Mulgrew? Was made to look very ordinary defensively at times in Div3 - holding midfielder - yes
Lenihan - yes
Dack - yes
Raya - yes
Travis - possibly
Williams - squad?
Bell - haven't seen enough but what I have seen I would say he won't cut it?
Smallwood - squad?
Nyambe - squad?
I think a big summer is needed?

Ward and Feeney on their bikes (not surprising) but Graham and Conway look like being made offers to extend their time at the club

I'd imagine Graham will be offered significant money as he is still a key player but that Conway will have to take a pay cut as he will be no more than a bench warmer next season unless some other club want him. One thing Mowbray needs to get the pair in every fortnight or so and onto the scales to make sure they haven't ballooned.

No surprise that Graham is offered a new contract but I'm mildly surprised that Conway has been offered a deal. Surely he will only be on the periphery on a low wage. He's been a good servant but his legs have gone. Drog is right, the pair need their weight and fitness monitored throughout the close season.
Thank Christ there is no deal for Feeney and I don't see a place for Ward so OK to that.

Lowe's left Birmingham City. Absolutely NO need for him here before anyone (Thenodrog) suggests it.
Strange comment from Mowbray today in the LT. Sometimes players need to be pushed out the door whatever their humanity rating is. That's to be expected in football. He's talking about players by the way not Pasha, Cheston or the owners

That works for 99% of football managers vinjay. The stats state that they are never in a job long enough to replace contracted players that they don't want with players that they do want. It's a ludicrous situation of course and one that club Chairmen (and of course supporters) really ought to take on board!
btw Vinjay would you not consider a straight swap of Lowe for Caddis / Ward / Whittingham / Gladwin / Antonnson? I certainly would. The chief difference from my position in the JW Upper is that only Lowe wants to actually play football for BRFC on a Saturday afternoon!
Lets be honest they were to varying degrees dreadful aquisitions for the club and I have to say that TM was responsible for all but one of them with Ward's introduction being down to the hapless sorry I meant hopeless Paul Lambert.

I know you were not addressing that to me but my answer is NO. I don't want Lowe here at all, swap or not. If he's on the books the danger is that somebody will play him and you are immediately playing with 10 men. He's that poor.
