Comings & Goings

It's easy to say that now but Burnley's rise started with a lucky and totally undeserved promotion under Coyle. They then seized their chance and wisely kept their spending down whilst coining in the Premiership Sky money. Not so the Venkys.
Helped also by supporters with a more realistic expectation level.

Outgoings: all out of contracts plus all high earners if we can get any fee or cheap release.

Incoming: frees and loans who will accept minimum L1 wages. We will be shopping in L2 and lower.

Works both ways deosn't it? For every Ince there's a Kendall. It is impossible for us to say either way without personally knowing Mulgrew's character and personality though.
Absolutely and I'd add in Hughes as a recent example. I agree Mulgrew looks like a leader on the pitch but as to whether he's manager material who knows. I'd be quite happy to see Mowbray continue but his recent 'meeting' article makes me think that's what he desires as opposed to what is arranged. It would be just like the Rat family to sack him and take an eternity to replace. Wonder what the odds are on us dropping again right now?

Prob only landed in the first place because of our rather spurious scottish connections anyway.

Signing a player due in court etc etc was always a bad idea. Cannot help but think it took him out of the limelight coming here so he could get paid and then return.

Yeah but he's most likely returning to Hibernian. He's certainly not going back to Celtic. Scottish newspapers (whether regional or scottish edition of the sun, etc) obviously may cover Hibernian more than Rovers but they are hardly in the limelight.

Was he not at Hibs on loan for the last part of his celtic contract?

Anyway who cares he's dross and a waste of some 750k a year. Now we just need another 9.25M!

Celtic wanted him out and Hibs couldn't afford the wages he wanted and needed to cover upcoming and known expenses.

Coyle kindly parked him at Ewood on a 3 year deal and good wages with litlle intent to play him.

He'll be loaned to Hibs or more likely paid off with a nda in place.

Coyle's legacy to Rovers and why he was still smiling when sacked.

Lowe surprises me but I guess his cost and the fact that he'll have other offers will have seen that he is included in that list. One name that has not been mentioned is Scott Wharton. He's out of contract next summer (2018) so now would be the time to either extend that or sell him. Anyone know how he's gone on at Cambridge?

Th
The shysters injected it in last month so Mowbray can start splashing ;)

Aye Yoda, your cheques in the post
That was just to keep the club out of admin I think and maybe square a loan off in no way will it be transfer money I don't reckon. Also been said that last month's wages came direct from a Rao private account instead of the normal BOI one.

Typical of these keeners starve the club to the brink then inject money to cover high interest borrowings at the 11th hour. Lunatics.
