Dunno what our Rovering Reporter BB has been doing but he hasn't been doing his job this week. Our second midlands club in 3 days is coming up on Wednesday night and all of a sudden the Rovers squad have been bedevilled by a spate of injuries to key players. Pears, Barnes, Hedges, Leonard, Ennis and Gallagher are vying for the treatment beds at Brockhall. All talk of who should be dropped / who should be given a chance has been replaced by who can climb the steps on to the bus. Speaking of which we might even need to park said bus across the goal line given that we along with Soutthampton have let most goals in in the entire Championship!
20 goals in just 9 matches does not make good reading!

The most memorable thing about Coventry is not the strip by Lady Godiva but this wonderful 70's strip by Admiral. I've no idea about the good lady's collars and cuffs but this one was teamed with a ginger bush. Height of fashion in the 70's!

BB would of course have put a smutty image of the Good Lady instead but I'll spare you all such vulgarity. No doubt he'll be along soon to drag the board down a level or two.

Cov Manger is the excellent Mark Robins who was a decent enough player in his time but his reputation will always be sullied by him scoring the goal that kept Alex Ferguson in a job when the Man U faithful were clamouring for his head! FA Cup: Mark Robins saves Alex Ferguson - 25 years on - BBC Sport
How different could our history have been during the Walker years without that goal? How many titles could we have won? Two more seasons and Eric Harrison handed Fergy the class of 92 and the dominance of Man Utd was set!

So chins up folks, Sunday's result rather reminded me of the night that Mitrovic and Fulham put us to the sword. A Prem team in all but division and a superstar centre forward knocked us for 7! Much rending of clothes and gnashing of teeth followed but a matter of weeks later we vwere 2nd in the table. Lets hope for a similar reaction from the lads,

Well well well I sign on here to write a Coventry away preview to find out that naughty Drog has beaten me to it. Even more strange is that it was my plan to post a photo of Coventry in a ‘t’urd brown‘ shirt more suited to our friends from Burnley.

I was about to mention that I hope to get down to Highfield Rd this Wednesday. The ground is in a part of Coventry that is on a par with Luton, Oldham, Beirut and Blackburn. The present visitors stand is on a par with with the Riverside oozing with charm and quality.

Quality in Coventry matches the quality of the Riverside

Many thanks to Drog for returning some sense of decorum to roversfans.com. The future is top end journalism rather than smut. Coventry 3 v Rovers 0.

A smutty special for Drog: Lady Godiva visits Blackburn

Coventry 3 Rovers 1. Any fans going keep your wits about you, they’ve some nasty buggers following that club.

Ennis is travelling with the squad. Hopefully we can get him back fit because he has been good from what I've seen of him.

I'd like to see Telalović start up front. There is no doubt he is a big presence there, and I wonder if that would make a big difference in terms of our shape. We also need somebody in that area to start banging the goals in rather than relying on Szmodics who is having to do too much work in too many games in too short a space of time.

Highly unlikely to happen but it is mathematically possible we could be in the relegation zone post match.

How long before we can call the current league run a death spiral?

Should be good enough to get a point.
1-1.

It shows how desperate we are for a striker,Ennis was not considered fit enough for the fist team at the beginning off the season now he is after being out for weeks with injury.

Telalović had a "nasty fall" (how old is he?) and is on an injection, presumably to numb the pain. We do seem to be a squad made out of glass these days.

Tomasson said that he wouldn't normally have him in the squad, but he's got no choice because we're that stretched.

Looks like we're going with a back-three of Carter, Hyam, and Hill tonight.

Rankin-Costello and Brittain presumably LWB and RWB.

Dolan comes in for Sigurdsson.
