Covid-19.... What will happen next?

When you see the size of the oval, (they are the size of a big cricket venue, it's not 100 x 90) then you would realise how buggered they get, and that's before covid.

Be interesting to see some of the conversations that are currently taking place between Djokovic, his management team and the teams at Roland Garros, Wimbledon and Flushing Meadows. I don't see how any of those can let him play given that he's unvaccinated and seemingly willing to break the rules to compete in them.

Good! Talk about throwing toys out of the pram. The man's an idiot. Who does he think is going to suffer?🙄. Like reportedly a whole lot of footballers he sets a terrible example to young people.

The best argument for vaping is that it's better than smoking but given the amount inhaled and exhaled it surely can't be any good can it? Vaping should be taxed and only used as a short term aid to giving up smoking and not as a replacement.

can't remember where the comments about vaping were put, but this:

“Liberty Flights, the UK manufacturer of products being used by Mr Hansen, said Mr Hansen had ordered its products through a third-party website and it had not dealt with Mr Hansen directly.

Liberty Flights said its products were subjected to "rigorous screening and testing protocols" in accordance with the UK Medicinal Healthcare Regulatory Authority.

The manufacturer also said it had never used vitamin E acetate in its products.“
I wonder if this chap has sadly been doing a bit of experimenting with his e juice? Regardless I like how the doctor brushed off decades of smoking and blames his death on vaping.
😟

Yesterday, Professor Graham Medley was answering questions from MPs on Commons Science and Technology Committee. The SAGE member said experts on the panel presented the Government with range of Omicron scenarios with the best-case scenario, predicted deaths peaking at 600 a day but said they could reach 6,000.

Deaths from the then-new variant of coronavirus instead peaked at less than 306 on January 1.

Grim modelling that over-egged the Omicron wave failed to 'accurately predict the numbers' because it did not factor in behaviour changes, one of the Government's chief pandemic advisers.

I believe Omicron was found to be more contagious / infectious but the effects less serious than initially thought.

I think face masks do remind people to keep a suitable distance and respect some of the covid recommended 'etiquette'.

Can I ask a simple question, is everyone happy to make their own decisions on what restrictions or whether to wear a face mask or not? Surely after 2 years of living with the virus we can trust the majority of people to make their own decisions?

I am happy to choose.

Mind you some of those lovely girls I went out with in my youth could do with a permanent face mask, a few of them have not aged well…..unlike myself.
