Ayala sent off for two bookable offences for the second week running as Rotherham lose 3-2 at Plymouth to a 95th minute goal.
Either he just wants Christmas off or he's suffering the old defenders curse of slowing down.

Yeah I thought he and the team had a really good start to the 2021/22 season, but then we got tonked by Fulham and Mowbray completely changed the system and went with Van Hecke, Wharton and Lenihan which worked incredibly. And after that it felt like Ayala never got going again. Some players are decent until they're 36, some are done at 32, seems like Ayala's the latter.

Strikers bloom early and soon finish tamely these days. Defenders mature over time until their legs go. GK's are similar.

Before we rush to criticize rothwell (and Armstrong) just consider the gaps in and defensive failings of our midfield and defence.😱

I dont see any difference in recent form between us and Newcastle. Fatigue has set in with both sets of players.

Injury based fatigue with a small squad I'd suggest.
Which makes you wonder why Tomasson persists with a high intensity game and supposedly high intensity training. I'd wager that's a big part to do with our injuries in the first place.

I see the bbc had Tom cairney down as mom in their victory over Man Utd this weekend.

Bear in mind he was 10 years younger back then.

Bloody hell! Watching MoTD and there was a minutes silence for ex rover's GK Paul Bradshaw who passed away recently aged 67!
