Nice little article with Jordan Rhodes. He currently has nine goals in eleven appearances for The Pool, form is temporary whilst class is permanent.
Not sure I agree there ODB, he scored 33 in 183 from leaving Rovers up until this season. 7 seasons across 4 clubs is a long time to be out of form.

I think he's just found his level again. It was in League 1 when he was banging them in for Huddersfield before we signed him, so we're the only club he's ever been able to do the business at in the Championship. Not sure why that is, and he's a Rovers legend obviously. But personally I hold my hands up to our fans who thought his game was limited even when he was scoring at Rovers, I wasn't one of them but I think they've been proven right.

Outside the box he was awful and definitely not a team player. When we were under pressure and defending a lead he may as well haver been sat next to me.

Tell that to Shankly, Ferguson, Postecoglou etc, Oh! plus his teammates. Try telling it to Shearer too! He was the very top at both! thing is ODB a bit of graft costs nowt, anyone can do it even with two left feet. Anyone who doesn't has a problem.... between their ears! No 'i' in team remember.

Elliot, branthwaite and morton figuring.

Add Tosin, THB, Van Hecke and Mowbray and his team have done pretty well in helping the development of these kids.

?
With at least 12/13 of our own kids in the first team squad I certainly believe that he did! When can you remember a time when we had just under half the squad made up of our Academy / Youth teams? You can go back as far as you like to 1965.

I always liked him. It was a pity we had to sell him.
I don't believe that we had to Al. He had a dip in form, JDT preferred Pears to him and he had to go then to further his international career with Belgium. With only Courtois in the way (now out for the season at least with a ruptured ACL) he has every chance of doing that. I believe that if he'd continued to figure as No1 then he'd likely still be here. Bit of a shit show again for us as being Belgian No1 would have upped his value no end.

One would have thought the PFA would have given him advice. Mind you loads of footballers and famous people got napped in that inland revenue / film sting.
Shame I really rated Neill. Top full back and hard as nails to boot.
