Cant be that hard can it? Brighton are football's golden club at the moment. More than surviving in the Prem despite selling players for big money.

I've dreamed of the Rovers doing similar in the past.
First up when the Rovers were top of the tree we should have mopped up all the best Scottish youth talent by using Kenny and Colin Hendry to visit the kids in their homes and persuade their parents that BRFC, the Prem and Brockhall was the best place to be. For the best English talent ditto but with Shearer accompanying KMD to sign the kids up. A %age of any future selling on fee would have benefitted those three. Which parent would have turned down either of those combinations sitting in their front rooms?
I recall Sheringham signed for Forest because Cloughie using excellent psychology turned up with a top Gray Nicholls cricket bat for his son whilst other clubs just approached his agent.
In the mid noughties we had Brad Friedel opening a football academy in the US. Surely that would have been a foot in the door for a lot of promising US talent.
Nowadays our best hope is to use the facilities at a Cat A Academy to resurrect the careers of youngsters who have fallen behind in development and been off loaded by Premier League clubs.
