Rumours swirling that Broughton has gone. Wouldn't surprise me. He admitted ultimate responsibility for the deadline day failings last January, and his position is completely untenable in my view.
I've heard he is going. If Broughton was going, I would have expected it to be announced alongside Tomasson. Seems as though he might be staying. Only peep we've heard from him is on his LinkedIn profile. Is he under instruction to say nothing in an official Rovers capacity?
Spookily enough Eustaces agents has gone into liquidation and are due to be wound up in April. I wonder who is agent is, I don’t believe he would sign a contract at Rovers unless he had agency representatives present.Elliott Jackson says the information he's got strongly suggests Eustace was a Waggott appointment. It probably makes sense because Eustace isn't a natural follow-on from Tomasson's style based on what we've seen so far, or perhaps the style Broughton wanted with his contingency list.
It begs the question: Where does this leave Broughton?
Is he no longer trusted to make footballing decisions? After all, from the point of view of Waggott and the Board, Tomasson was nothing but a headache for them, and Broughton was the man that brought him to the club.
It is just an odd situation that he has said absolutely nothing for the past two weeks in an official capacity.
There is a smell of corruption from Ewood yet again - if they cant cash in on Brockhall they will have had to find other ways to fill their brown envelopesSpookily enough Eustaces agents has gone into liquidation and are due to be wound up in April. The two people who believed we were working towards becoming a 'sustainable Premier League Club' are now off. Well, one has already gone in JDT. Broughton is on his way too now. Quelle surprise. It seems very much like both were sold a pup. Waggott has never once mentioned promotion being the aim in his six or so years at Rovers. Disgustingly, he tried to argue about JDT's perception of the project in an interview with Andy Bayes by saying there was no pressure on Jon to go up and that it comes from himself due to his ambitious nature.Broughton is on a three month notice, after that it's goodbye. He is off.
Prepping for a sale. The fact remains now that due to Indian govt regulations (? do they only affect BRFC?) the gravy train appears to have pulled into the sidings.
Also I recall a month or two back that a party from India had arrived to go through the affairs of BRFC with a fine tooth comb. Is this perhaps as much to do with that as Modi's crew?
He adds little to no value to the club. His signings have largely been dire. That's out of the blue! So why what's he done or not done now?
