Saw a bit of the Scotland Ukraine game due to the Lancs game starting at 3pm.

It reminded me a bit of our game at Bolton in March the season we got relegated from the Premier League. With one team seemingly not up for it and largely giving up due to the emotion of the other side.

It sucks for the neutral as Wales v Scotland would have been a more interesting "final".

However, I can envision the TV camera shots now, panning along the Ukrainian players as they clutched their chests during a tear filled national anthem. Probably all millionaires, probably not one ever paid tax to the Mother Land, none prepared to give up the good life and fight for their country. And yet there are Ukrainian women on the front line. FIFA should have supplied white feathers to pin on their armbands.

I have been watching the test match as it has gotten surprisingly interesting all of a sudden.
