It does but usually cometh the hour cometh the man. Although tbh living in England and owning a football club is just a poisoned chalice.
Still if they go to the wall it has to help us in the long term surely? Survival of the fittest and North West County by misadventure.

Right anyone predict who will go down with Ipswich and Bolton? It'll be squeaky bum time for 4 clubs I'd imagine with my tip for the drop after watching every team being Millwall except for the fact that they currently have a game in hand on the other three. Also 3 points and a healthy goal diff should see them survive at Rotherhams expense.

Remaining fixtures
1. Rotherham (40) are Birmingham home, WBA away and last match of the season Boro home. Two of those clubs going hell for leather for the top 6.

2. Millwall (43) are Villa away, Stoke Home, Bristol City Home and Wigan away for their last match. Again two striving for the play offs, and a relegation rival up last match.

3. Wigan (45) did themselves a power of good winning at Leeds with 10 men for most of the match and have Preston home, Brum away, and Millwall at home. I'd say that's the easiest run in by far.

4. Reading (45) are Home to WBA, away to Boro and finally home to Brum. Again two clubs going all out for the play offs.

Had Wigan followed the script and lost at Elland Road, I would have voted for them.
Unfortunately, they pulled off a massive win, so I'm plumping for Rotherham.
Just reinforces how well we have done when our two fellow promoted teams are in the mix for going back down.

'Revenge is a dish best served cold'.
Good on Mick and shame of the fans who hounded him out. Unfortunately I'd hazard a guess that the most vociferous of those intellectual pygmies will be the first to desert the sinking ship and not renew their ST's next season.

The worst possible outcome for them - playing in the same division as Norwich this year and two divisions below them next year (probably)

Didn't know whether to put this in the Championship thread or here. I decided here is most appropriate. :imp:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-en...boss-paul-lambert-on-returning-to-carrow-road

I notice at the end he says he gave his all for Norwich and was 'tired' and needed a break. Odd then that he tendered his resignation on Thursday (31/5/12) which was turned down by Norwich and then walked out and left them for the Villa Park pressure cooker on the following Saturday, just 2 days later. Talks cheap eh Paul? No wonder you don't get any Christmas cards from Norwich City supporters is it?

It's a mess over there for sure. Been reading Bassinis history on wiki this morning!:poop:
Should be compulsive reading for all the venkyout brigade.
As ODB says 'there's always someone who will buy your club'.

Adds a lot of perspective to the insane world of English football doesn't it?

With unemployment at its lowest since the 70’s why didn’t the staff walk out and get another job?

Good question ODB and one which a lot of moaners (especially those eternal complainers in the Public Sector) need asking. If you don't like your job then move on! This life is NOT a rehearsal!

However that isn't to suggest that if money becomes available they don't get what is owed to them. No doubt as it stands the Administrators will get paid first.
