Nothing is "strange" with Joey Barton except that he lasted that long without fighting with anybody.

Director of Football and two coaches Clint Hill and Andy Mangan gone with him as well. This could easily be an economy measure in these dark times for football although with Joey B anything could have happened.

Seems to me that Hemmings Preston are being hit financially by the ban on supporters and he is taking a stand and cutting his coat according to his cloth. He's a tough cookie who dislikes the mentality of the average footballer. Quite right too imo.

Seems like there is a queue at Preston's exit door. All their 'big' players who are out of contract in the summer appear reluctant to sigh new ones. Hemmings seems to be reacting to the reduced income in a hard headed business like manner aka Karl Oyston.

Seems like there is a queue at Preston's exit door. All their 'big' players who are out of contract in the summer appear reluctant to sigh new ones. Hemmings seems to be reacting to the reduced income in a hard headed business like manner aka Karl Oyston.

I believe the manager is also tipped for Celtic so there could be one big exodus at dumpdale before long.

Glad Wigan are sorted. Just hope the new regime can be trusted. Time will tell.same goes for Bolton. They think they are sorted. Wait till May when they have a bill of 3.5 million to pay.

What a cracking game last night between Blackpool and dirty Oxford! The Pool coming out on top 6-3 on aggregate and facing either Sunderland or Lincoln in a Wembley final. I’ll be glad to see them back in the championship as I have a bit of a soft spot for them and their long suffering fans.

Hopefully Blackpool will make it . It’ll be good for Lancashire town football if they can join Rovers and PNE in the Championship.

I’m a big fan of their tangerine and white kit , not as famous or iconic as ours , but quite unique all the same .

Good luck to the Pool today and to Morecambe tomorrow. I think the play off final order has been switched as I’m sure the championships play off final used to be on Monday with the first division one on the Sunday?

So, a good bank holiday weekend for Lancashire's seaside towns with Morecambe also winning their play off, albeit with a disputed extra time penalty.
They will play in League one for the first time.
