Honda S800, rev a lot!, wish I still had it

VW Polo estate
Fiat X19 (sick note car that one) turn the indicator on the headlights popped up intermittently, obviously that would be a good day when it decided to start
Some kit car thing that the name escapes me now lol
Merc 190
Fraud escort XR3 (some git nicked it when I was watching the Rovers, taken from the Aquaduct car park, the Police chased them and they stuffed it into a brick wall, right off!)
Mini Marcos with an Osselli tuned engine (only one word to describe that one, frightening)
Merc 420 SE, as mentioned earlier a real Motorcar.
Merc A 100 (had that one for 13 years from new and 350k miles when traded in)
Merc Vito tourer (the works, table, fridge, leather etc)
Renault Kangoo (for the bus') goes like a bat out of hell!
Current car VW Tiguan, which will be going back at the end of the lease (going back to Mercs)

I may have missed one or two from the 80's

ps just remembered the hang glider lol

OMG I have remembered one not in the list,

Bond Bug,

Spent more time on 2 wheels than 3, shocker of a car, how they got away with it I still do not know :joy:

Anyway,

looking forward to this beauty

It's on Factory Order (none available with the spec I wanted anywhere) 2 more months to go, Lusso Plus, top of the range.

It will probably rain the 1st day I get it :joy:

Worst car I had was quite recent: Range Rover Sport which I got rid of at 11 months old as it had all sorts of problems. The Jaguar F Pace is a dream to drive, may go for an XF Sportbrake next time.

Looking to get a Porsche Cayman for fun drives, either that or invest in a classic Heinkel Bubble Car - you can pick a decent one up for less than £15K.

Older brother and friend had an isetta bubble car, it broke down on the way to QPR away I think. At half time a request for a lift home resulted in a lift back with the team. Late 1960's

Many years ago a friend of mine had a bubble car. You know the type. The one where you get in and out by opening up the whole front end. He was looking for a parking space and thought he had spotted one between two cars up against a wall. Once in he realised that he couldn't open the door, what's more they have no reverse so he couldn't back out either. He tells me he was like a goldfish banging on the roof hoping that someone would realise his predicament and push him out. eventually somebody did but he says that he didn't half peel like a pillock.

peel like a pillock ! is that a foreskin joke ? :)

The Isetta's (BMW) had no reverse gears. There was also a Messerchmitt which I thought was the best looking but expensive at the time apparently

A study by Leeds University found that motorists who eat while driving are 44% slower than usual.
Research also showed that those who sip drinks were 22% tardier and 18% more likely to show erratic lane control.

Tossers! The feckers have spent millions of pounds and two decades on telling us that 'Speed kills'!!!!! It's not about good and bad driving any longer is it? It's all about tax / revenue or however people want to label it. Plain truth is that I'm already spending less time on the road these days than in the past and do more business over the phone and internet because of speed camera's etc. Now that the slower ones are about to be targeted I hope that many will follow my example by doing fewer miles and deny the govt the fuel duty that they have taken for granted for so long. Raising income tax is a no no nowadays so leave em to cut funding to the public service, the NHS and education.

Now I'm not saying this is right but when one considers all the dollopers and ne'er do wells that that should be locked up thios seems harsh. I suppose the judiciary / police / home office are scared witless that we might all get them and they'd have wasted money buying all those laser camera's and lost gazillions in fines. One good thing is that they'll get nowt in fuel duty or speed fines out of him for a time will they?

btw I could tell it was spring today when I went past a speed camera in a newly painted shiny camera van on the A59 at Sawley! Beware folks! The bstartds have come out of their winter hibernation hungry and will soon be in a feeding frenzy!

I fancy one of these. What do you chaps reckon on the Ineos?

It looks a beast to me. It would be ideal for driving through all those holes and ruts in the streets of Blackburn 👻

I spotted that a few weeks ago. Slipping unashamedly into the vacuum left by Land Rover in ceasing production of the old Defender and producing something that is was too dear for the people who drove the old vehicle. The Ineos is still too dear as a workhorse imo but it seems to be a rare old beast.
