Always provides a few talking points doesn't it?

First off it seems Premier League refs can still be clueless given some of the penalty decisions they make. Even Shearer seems to have gone soft. Genuine ball first tackles are now being punished with penalties (Huddersfield and Everton) and in Jagielka's case a very harsh sending off.

I watched that too for once and it just made it clear that we aren't the only ones who get crap referees. They are in the premier league as well. I know it's not an easy job but surely they could do better than the one we got on Saturday.

I’d use the word ‘desperate’ rather than reckless amo. He’d taken a bad touch and was stretching to make the tackle. As for’ showing studs’ I’ve no idea how one can dislocate ones foot and turn it round in half a second just to meet the criteria of a foolish rule.

Danny Murphy criticized utds lack of effort ....haha what a total delusional prick

I believe lack of effort would sum up his entire career. Liverpool got rid for a reason didn't they.

What a waste Jamie Vardy retiring from international football. Simply cos Southgate hasn't / hadn't a clue how to use him.

Get ready you away supporters for trips to Cardiff and Huddersfield next season.

Watch this it's hilarious .... if you aren't an Owls supporter.
10 mins plus in. This is more like Rugby (watch Adam Clayton Boro No8 lying down to push his teammate forward). Hilarious but the outcome is just so wrong. Viewed from all around and this just proves the ref is a bottler. It's either a pen for Sheff Wed or obstruction but the ref panics (imo) and gives Boro a free kick.

I assume the Ref will get a carpeting. He deserves it.

Obstruction seems to have gone by the board. I haven’t seen a free kick given for obstruction for a long time although I’ve seen loads of examples of it occurring.

None more obvious than that though I'd bet Al.

Collective smug and satisfied comments today that the Prem big boys came through with maximum points against inferred 'plucky' and unlucky opposition. Makes you sick that Wolves were only denied a point v Spurs by a myopic linesman, Bournemouth would have been out of sight of Man Utd on another day and everyone in the studio is happy and smugly satisfied that the cocky cockneys at WHU are back to winning ways (yes I know that one appealed to us too :imp: but rem we were victims ourselves of this media bias not too long ago). Crikey every post match debate is 75:25 dedicated to whats wrong and whats right at the big clubs with just a touch of lip service afforded to smaller club's affairs.

All my life the press and media have attempted to turn the entire nation into big club fans. It must be galling to realise that to date they haven't managed it .... but it doesn't stop them trying does it?

Seeing Danny Murphy's shifty, sunken eyed, shoulder-less, grey-gilled figure crouched on the studio sofa reminds me of trudging nervously through Dandy Walk of a dark autumn evening, as a kid, and catching a glimpse of an elongated, rodent emerging from a broken and foul smelling gully. You just learn to hold your nose and walk on by.

Just had a quiet smirk as a Bouremouth player slammed home a penalty against Aston Villa. Reason being the striker was Josh King and the Villa GK Tom Heaton. Pathetic? Childish? Probably..... but so what?:imp:
