Well done to Rovers Old Boy Josh King. A hat trick and an assist in Watford's rather unexpected demolishing of Everton 2-5. I always rated him our best striker back in the day when we had Rhodes, Gestede and King. By playing in the Premier League for every one of the 6 years since he left he's proved his superior ability over the other two time and again.
Not shown up in such a good light was his old teammate at Rovers and Everton Micheal Keane who had something of a mare in the same match.

Just like Armstrong he was played in the wrong position and wasted out wide to accommodate Rhodes as Armstrong was played wide to accommodate Dack. Both players proving many times that they were actually better than the lads they had to make way for.

I'm always banging on about strikers aiming shots 'inside far post'. The success rate is far higher when hitting across the keeper than going for the near post. I have to say there isn't a better current example than Brighton's Leandro Trossard. I've been impressed with this lad for a long time now and the screens at Brockhall should be showing some of his goals on a continuous loop for an hour every day! His hat trick at Anfield yesterday has been well deserved.

Football pundits are generally awful these days. Alan Smith is dull as dishwater, Don Goodman is a moron, Carragher's an asshole, Richards is a giggling clown, Jill Scott is like a more cheerful Michael Owen but just as mundane statements.

Is it too much to ask for the so-called experts to give me expert insight on a game in an engaging manner? Only Shearer and Neville fit that bill for me. The odd time Sky had Mourinho on it was like they'd put a PHD lecturer in with some secondary school kids.

I always like Lawrenson tbh, he was astute and knowledgeable and could spot the salient points of a game but I believe that he was binned off to make way for presenters who fit the woke agenda. BBC and Sky are alike in not recognising their folly of shoving an Islington centric woke agenda down the throats of the common man.

I personally couldn’t stand the preston hair dresser!

I never watch MOTD now, have they started mixing up and showing the women’s games alongside the men’s yet? If not it won’t be long.
