I hope the national League has parachute payments cos Chorley look like they'll be needing them.
Don't get me wrong, I have friends that go to Chorley FC regularly and I would love to see them stay up but it's looking unlikely.
Chorley are going down. But they have not disgraced themselves. Only 2 pastings that i can remember. Had a spell of drawing 0-0. Just say they had won a couple of them. Last week they were winning at Yeovil. Had the lad from Bolton sent off. Conceded near the end. Dropped 2 points. Could have been so different. I enjoy my non-league football.
I caught Notts County's game against Chesterfield on the TV last weekend. I was pretty impressed with some of their (Notts) players.
It kind of reinforced why Brereton hasn't gone on loan - as even at that level they all looked better than him, so I really don't think he has any takers.
I see they won 2-1 in the FA Trophy today (at Yeovil) - playing the last 10 +6 minutes with just NINE men. You need a lot of grit and bottle to be able to do that (especially away at a team that's a couple of places higher in the same league). I wish Rovers would show the same.
I can see the Magpies coming back up into league football through the play-offs.
Meanwhile Chorley look doomed and Fylde on current form look in just as bad a shape.
I can never see the sense in wealthy men chucking money at tiny clubs. What is the point of fylde? It's never going to stand on its own feet in the already football saturated north west. Chorley too situated perfectly between bolton,Preston, Wigan and us who let's be honest are massively short of support themselves. In the past money's been chucked at Darlington and Gretna ffs! Gretna having a pop of almost zero. This area needs fewer clubs not more!
A league club, Perth Glory are about to be 80% bought by LFE, London Football Exchange.
Anyone heard anything of them?
I';ve had a look and can't work out how it happens. As far as I can see, it takes money from fans or organisations that want to invest.
Any thoughts?
Seen Chorleys highlights from the weekend. They were against Ebbsfleet who are also struggling. Yet again Chorley could and should have got something, Missed a penalty. Took them so long to get into the old Conference. Shame they are doomed.
In reality no one could have predicted that the Football season 2019/20 would be affected by a worldwide pandemic. If a decision was made to fulfil all fixtures in each competition this year or possibly further then that would have a knock on effect on many seasons to come. Why should that be permitted just because a particular team have had a successful first two thirds of the season? You don’t get a trophy until the competition is finished and if it is unable to finish it due to time constraints then the competition is voided.
Its just one of those things.

Well said that man.
