I suspect the CPS came to that decision which I am astounded about. Even though the offender has no previous convictions there were three separate punches thrown and certainly an additional offence of affray. He should have gone to court for this.
Toki (the ref) typically blaming racism as the reason for the light sentence ......... "I didn't want to mention it but it feels like discrimination against me. If something had happened against a white official, would it have been taken more seriously?" I'd say he's got it totally, completely and diametrically wrong! If the attacker had been white English instead of black he'd have been much more severely dealt with!

Chorley FC on BBC NW NEWS tonight. I rarely watch telly and even less the news but came across the Chorley FC Chairman Ken Wright ( a lovely man who I have had many a pint with along with his best mate Brian Pilkington - ex Burnley FC) saying they will go bust by Christmas.
I have fond memories of Chorley. My brother played in goal for them and I have had some great days out at Victory Park. They depend on match day bar takings and sales of snacks, pies and other refreshment. They are a real community club who do not deserve to fail.
