Pitch has not helped with some of the home games. Like every other team, There have been a few boring games.

There are reasons for poor performance and excuses.
The pitch is an excuse.
The vast majority of games in our wonderful 23 match current streak have been uninspiring to say the very least.

Sorry, I stand corrected, 1 match in the last 2 months has been good (although Kaminsky played a blinder).
January apart, where we won a massive 3 games (2 of which were lucky beyond belief), it would be 1 good match in 4 months.

King has been playing in the Prem ever since so the quality was there. Can't say the same for Gestede and as I forecast time and again back then Rhodes would never make a Premier League player. I still believe that King was the best striker of the three by a mile as I did then but GB set us up to play to Rhodes OR.... more like he was ordered to from Pune. How else can player grab the goals to defeat two Premier League teams including that hat trick v Stoke and then get dropped the next match? No bloody wonder he wanted to get away.

Corrected for you. Poor pitches have always been classed as great levellers of class at every level of football.

But they are the same for all 22 players
There could be an argument that we should fair better on mud heaps - we get more practice
