11 matches left in the next 8 weeks. Wigan have 15 in the same time with at least another one in the QF of the FA Cup! If we can beat them on Sunday then the pressure on them to win each and every game will be intense. Credit if they can cope with it but it's a big ask.

It wouldn't be the end of the world if Sunday was called off?
We could get a rest and pile more pressure on Wigan ( where is allerdyce when you need him)

Indeed so. Not a bad idea to play Wigan when injuries, suspension and fatigue are likely to be at their peak.

Points per game and goal difference would disagree with that assessment waggy.
We'd be best advised to take every advantage that we can. I know we are playing well but the more pressure that can be put on Wigan the better. Wigan will be 4 days fresher than us come Sunday due to the postponement of last nights match, plus it'd be very advantageous if (assuming he is injured for Sunday) we can have Lenihan on the pitch, Smallwood free from the threat of a ban and Harry Whizz-Bang fit and raring to go on the bench.

I know its only Thurs but I cant see any way Sunday will be on if the weather forecasts are to be believed.

Did we get our undersoil heating fixed?

Yes it was fixed Steve. The issue I believe will be either: 1) the surrounding streets or; 2) whether it becomes a betting issue in Asia as to what hour the game wil be called off.

On point 1) I was at Ewood yesterday afternoon paying my lottery money and the surrounding streets resembled Chernobyl in winter (in numerous ways).

On point 2) never underestimate the power of money to postpone or alter games. Perhaps our resident Far East correspondents (Khmer, All Rover Asia and Thairover) can advise if this becomes a betting issue.

As for the game we should give them a good f**king.

It's now a couple of days since Sunday but I can't get rid of the lump in the pit of my stomach and the feeling that in that second half we blew our chances of a top two place. I know it's not all over but it's like a black dog on my back that I can't shake off. I need something good to happen to make me feel better like Billy Wizz Bang's name appearing on the team sheet.

I know how you feel Al . When Evans tried to side foot the cross from Nyambe , his shot hitting the ground and bouncing up to be tipped over by their keeper, I thought if he'd leathered it on the half volley it could have been 3-0 . It wasn't a bad attempt but I had a feeling from then on that Wigan might get back into it .

Harry Whizz Bang on the bench against Blackpool would help enormously !

As so often happens that chance fell to the wrong man.

Ditto you guys.
But I do feel that if we get back to winning ways on Saturday we will be fine
I think Rotherham and Shrewsbury will have a serious blip before the end and Wigan ( good as they looked at times) will get caught out by their fixture pile up.
What's the worst case scenario? We go up at Wembley

Got to cheer on Shrewsbury tonight in their EFL semi-final.
The final is on April 8th and will be another distraction for them and another added match.
Wigan have no mid-week match this week, so they are really stacking up the games.

Have faith we are top and wigan have to average 1.5 pts per game in there games in hand to equal us,shrewd need 2.5.
It maybe I'm miles away and don't feel the pressure. BUT we are top on merit and I expect to win the league now.

Let's see on the teams reaction to giving that lead away v Wigan. If Sat shows them come out of the blocks even more determined then it might not have been a bad result in the long term. However if they appear deflated against Blackpool then it could have worked the other way. Mowbray needs to be a psychologist before being a manager this week.
