It's one less though and it makes the Gills match an absolute MUST win.

No need to panic yet.

Yes, it was a bummer when the late goal went in but Bradford are bottom of the form table and Wigan just squeezed past them in injury time.
If we can beat Gillingham on Saturday, then it will be back to 8 points in front and 4 games in hand and Wigan will have to do it all over again.
Last night Powell went off with a hamstring injury and their sequence of weekend-midweek-weekend-midweek-weekend-midweek is just beginning, so we will see how they cope with that schedule too.

Let's hope they go to extra time and penalties at the weekend :)

That Duttons OBJ logo takes me back to by youth. Those were the days when we had three breweries in Blackburn.

When I was going through my box of old programmes recently I found a 1960 Cup Final souvenir programme and this was on the back cover :)
The figure is holding a card saying "Rovers for the Cup!"
I remember a neon OBJ sign near the bottom of Penny Street from my younger days but I think that's the only other time I've seen the logo.

I rem the electric OBJ sign flashing sequence on the Bouli as if it were yesterday. It became hypnotic when viewed for a number of minutes invariably through the rain spattered Preston New Road bus window whilst waiting for the bus to set off after trudging along with my mother on one of her shopping trips which involved her buying me clothes or shoes ..... usually a size or two to large for me to grow into.
Buses on that route were every 10 mins in those days and invariably full to busting and standing room only between 5 and 6pm with people making their way home from work or the shops.

Why? Wigan and Shrewsbury have been going along at 2 points per game all season and there's nothing to suggest that should change. Giving them 2 points per game for their games in hand would put Wigan 1 point ahead of us and Shrewsbury 2 points behind. With 27 points to play for for all 3 clubs.

There's a long way to go yet and if we continue our form since October I've no doubt whatsoever that we'll be promoted. Assigning terminal importance to every game us, Wigan and Shrewsbury play from now to the end of the season certainly makes it more exciting but its really not necessary. If we draw with Gillingham and beat Bradford it doesn't damage our promotion hopes one bit.

Of the three teams that I have seen the weakest is Shrewsbury..... I just wish someone would tell them so.

They should change the rules to say that if the 3rd placed team is 10 or more points ahead of the rest, they go up and there are no play-offs.
Then we can all chill :)

The only thing that will stop us getting automatic promotion is task interference from Pune

"put put put it's Wembley Tony and extra spondoolies"

If that's the case I doubt we'll be too involved in the bidding.

Given our latest financial deficit, the player wage expenditure v club income, and the low level of support from the Blackburn public we will not be forking out much cash on transfers.

We are a selling club and the only incomers will continue to be low cost ( with ocassional nugget like Dack) and short term loanees.

As for the rest of the season we have 21 points to play for and Wigan have 24; there may well be plenty of twists and turns yet. Look at the MK Dons game which we could easily have dropped points on. We must remain focussed.

Indeed so BB. We've just had a superb weekend but next week it might just as easily swing the other way. We can't influence what happens either except by our own results. I went to Southend away on the opening day of the season and they looked streets in front of us that day.

Be a intresting summer will The prunes from pune back us,will TM jump ship whilst his stock is high.
Will we have to sacrifice Dack for 4 new players?
One thing for sure I can't see the slum dogs having it easy next season, this season seems to have seen a line drawn in the sand,a truce. But then again keep our stars and spend 10 million, some might start to forgive if not forget.

That raises an interesting point to me. Would you agree to Dack being sold if we could use the money to buy any 3 perhaps from Armstrong, Payne and one of either a right back, a winger to replace Conway or a target man to replace the ageing DG?
