If I was a betting man I'd suggest my garden will be looking good this summer as the Saturday afternoons spent watching football will come to an untimely end pretty soon. Common sense says we will shadow Italy in the spread of coronvirus and the nation will be on lockdown soon. Goodness only...

When i found out a match was off when i was younger i used to say to somebody, I bet you a tenner we will not lose that particular match.

It's an exercise in crowd control is all. I'd wager by the end of the month there'll be no large gatherings allowed. On the plus side, that should mean most of our home games go ahead...

Well, it's been a while but here is the first prediction table of the nine match run-in.
A few of our regular predictors didn't make a prediction - you snooze, you lose and all that.
Both BB and I were one goal away from big points but in the end, quite a few of us knew the Rovers would have too much for Bristol City and bagged 2 points.
This leaves OOT still racing away with it but a nice bunch-up behind him fighting for second spot.

Only one of us went for a Wigan win, so congrats to Steve W, who picks up 2 points and, strangely, remains the only member to not have had a correct score (sorry Steve!)

Two of our brethren had the foresight to plump for a Barnsley win and, wouldn't you know it, both of the blighters got the score correct too!

Missed the last two matches of predictions and guess what? It hasn't made a ha'peth of difference. I'd have gone 1-2 for the rovers both away's after the false dawn presented by a poor Bristol City.
Just too many weak players in our squad to think about top 6 in this Division. Our two hopes are
a. decent players being off-loaded as funding dries up.
b. the U23's and academy provide decent replacements in the next 2/3 years.
