I'm surprised with Arsenal why so few fans seem to point their finger at the board. I wouldn't be surprised if the total net transfer spend under Wenger is negative, whilst he's expected to compete with clubs that can and regularly do blow through £100m every couple of seasons.

So years he's been getting them into the Champions League, putting together a team that has a tilt at top spot at at least some point in every season, and packing out that 60,000 stadium no matter what the club charges. Wenger makes Arsenal shareholders money hand over fist, and they're more than happy to keep taking the money whilst he keeps taking the flack.

Exactly right. imo he is the best Manager in the league and the Arsenal board obviously think likewise. Can't think why no one has spirited him away. He surely doesn't need to take any sh1t from the fans after all he's done for the last 20 years. Also the press and media appear to be totally oblivious of that fact.

As for him and I've no idea why but he has bought skilled players but never replaced the power train down the middle of Keown, Vierra and Bergkamp.

Wenger seems intent on buying young players instead of proven experience. Most of them havent worked out. Wenger is a poor manager in my opinion. Its time for him to retire

Burnley aren't safe yet. 5 points from the drop zone with 12 points to play for.

Big Sam working his magic again , a tremendous performance at Liverpool by Palace . He has shown yet again , that those Rovers fans who whinged and moaned about him and his style of football were/are from planet naivety and delusion

From being down amongst the dead men he's got Palace up to 12th now!

Difficult to believe but many of those rovers fans who whinged, booed and stamped their feet and helped Anderson put Allardyce out of the job are still defiant! I know everyone makes mistakes cos that's why they put rubbers on the end of pencils but when in a hole some do still keep on digging don't they?
They didn't have the final say of course but I wonder if the people who were openly dissatisfied by the Walker Trust tenure and others who helped boot Allardyce out of Ewood ever pause to ponder their judgement and their actions back then? It would all be ever so funny if it wasn't so bloody tragic.:(

They watch a bit of tikki takki football on sky sports and think they're professors of total football from the Rinus Michels School of Coaching

Drog, the Walker trust were eager to sell, no doubt. They weren't interested in what happened after that, it wasn't their problem any more.
Having said that, the shafting of Sam was nothing short of disgraceful. One wonders where we'd be now if he were here?

I agree there but even when they kept a low profile they were attracting criticism from a good number on the terraces who were of the opinion that it was down to them to blow good money after bad to prop up a small club which was not washing it's own face financially. Lets not forget that the club is now over 100m in debt. The wealth of the Walker family is huge but not inexhaustable and imo they were wise enough to dodge a bullet.

Re: Big Sam. I hold the opinion that he'd have definitely gone by now without a doubt. Difference is that it would have been by his own volition after being frustrated by the inept rule of the venkys and the Macheavellian 'get rich quick' scheming of their 'advisor'. His subsequent career moves prove that he was too good a manager not to be coveted and enticed away by bigger clubs with more potential and financial clout than us.

How good are the Palace fans, it should be Spurs away support dominating for a must win in their challenge (bit like our fans relentless 'Barmy Army' against Coventry in '94) but all you can hear is the Palace fans because their drum keeps them in time so their songs last 1-2 minutes each instead of our 5-10 seconds.
