Accy chairman accuses Premier League of treating EFL like starving peasant

Also interesting to see in that article that the Championship clubs will get £4.3m this year but league one clubs just get £650k[/QUOTE]
United under investigation by FIFA over Pogba. Not by their fellow FUP luvvies at UEFA of course.

So the 70 odd feeder league teams effectively get the cost of Paul Pogba between them.

btw....I said last summer that Pogba is the new Carlton Palmer (except he can't tackle as well as Carlton). I wonder how much Pogba's agent got and how much he then paid out to 'someones' ;) bank account in some overseas tax haven.... err like Brunei for example?

Top marks to the Stanley chairman Andy Holt for speaking out about this . What was the Premier League's reaction ? Almost a threat to end the solidarity payments to Stanley because he dared to express an opinion. The Premier League and Sky are a curse on English football

Yeah but Gibson (and others) saved them from bankruptcy and as he continued building up his own fortune he invested more. I don't regret what I said about the previous ownership in the slightest as pretty much the whole world knows. :D I did admit that new owners might not be a success but then hypocritically jumped the gun by declaring it "liberation day". I won't be doing that again right away even if the club is sold. People did the same with Kean and while you can't begrudge anyone happy to see him go nobody knew for sure if results would get any better. Indeed a lot felt then they needed to follow Kean immediately.

Gibson has made some poor decisions with managers such as backing Southgate for too long (he had a lot of criticism for that and they became frustrated with Mowbray too) but they shouldn't really be pressuring him to sell (not sure why they would blame Gibson for this season assuming they are what was he supposed to do sack Karanka last summer?) just as we would never have pressured Jack to sell. They did seem to get a major lift and renewed optimism when Karanka was appointed think they might have increased spending as well.

I do think Jack would have been open to a sale if it was someone of colossal wealth because he always wanted the absolute best for the club. I think Gibson should be a little more open to it he would probably ask any new owners what relegation is after all amongst numerous other questions. Have to remember too Middlesbrough were saved from liquidation over 30 years ago and some younger fans may be frustrated if they feel he should be more receptive at the very least.

Dyche was on Radio Lancashire today saying that Burnley are now safe and guaranteed at least £100,000,000 from the Premier League. He bragged that they were now better off financially than they had ever been and he could now spend with impunity instead of only being able to spend what he had to. It makes me puke that we could have been there had it not been for the Raos.

Well the key phrase is "could have" but certainly the Raos are to be held responsible for their own actions. Rovers have certainly missed out and you could use any midtable top flight club to illustrate that fact in the strongest possible terms.

Perhaps that will be the undoing of them.
Many have put forward the Burnley approach as the one for clubs in the Championship to adopt.
If they start to bring in big signings and pay big wages for big egos it could be a whole new ball game for them and, possibly, one they will look back on with some regret.

I did and was glad he went . If they had appointed a top name from those who wanted it we would have been ok ..as you recall I didn't trust the wankers in India from the off. It didn't matter because as Andy Cole alluded to k##n was the key to the corruption.

coco was Anderson's plant, both criminals in my book.

A few of us questioned the Rao's before they took over and got whinged at in the other place and even called racist by some who are now eating humble pie. Drog remembers it very well

Has anyone actually tried contacting Cole? He clearly knew what the plan was as did others, with Pompey MKII being quickly passed around circles after their arrival. People know what went down.

I responded to Cole on twitter a few days ago after he made a comment about Rovers. He didn't respond. Mentioned his claim about Kean on here a few weeks back as well.

There wasn't a bigger name than that of Sam Allardyce on that list. If he'd applied he'd have been the stand out candidate.

Abbey you need to give it up. The biggest cock up the venkys made was getting into bed with Anderson, the second biggest was sacking Allardyce.
