United losing always makes my day. It upsets the plastics.
As I said to my mate over Sunday lunch this was the best result for United... it was City's title anyway but this result denies their supporters the chance for a proper celebration. :D

Wenger to leave Arsenal at the end of the season with one year to go on his contract.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/43834283

Unfortunately for Wenger he was never able to replace Keown, Vierra and Bergkamp, the tough guys down the middle of the team making them brittle and vulnerable when 'up against it'. Also there is an old saying in football management "If you don't get rid of bad players, they'll get rid of you". Arsene needed to pay more attention to that advice.

One thing that will happen imo is that Arsenal will find out how good he was in the way that MU fans have done in recent years after Fergy left.:grinning:

I agree Drog.
After such a long period of stability, will Arsenal now become a chop-and-change club like so many others?
Probably.

Wenger was constrained when L'Arse built their new stadium. His transfer money was restricted, and, it seems, never reinstated.
How he lasted so long , to me, is a complete mystery.

I know he's getting on and prob wont want another job but for a Chairman astute in business matters like Pocchetino and Dyche he is still the perfect fit. There are too many cheque book managers around.

I doubt they can afford him. Liverpool are pretty cash rich at the moment. It would be a sideways step for Klopp although the delights of being wealthy and living in the South East probably trumps Merseyside by some distance.

The smart manager is the one who doesn't intend to follow Wenger but sets his stall out to follow the manager who follows Wenger.;)

Got myself is a bit of a lather last night! Watching MoTD and they were commenting on Mo Salah joining the 31 goal club since the Prem was reduced to just 38 matches (btw with 3 matches left it looks like he'll hold the title on his own by the end of the saeson). Anyway up came pictures of the three other Premier league hotshots who have equalled that total ... Christiano Ronaldo, Alan Shearer and Louis Suarez. Only problem is it showed Shearer in the NUFC strip when all the years that he broke the 30 goal a season barrier was in the blue and white halves!

All you lot who tweet and do Facebook need to contact the BBC MoTD team and put them right!

btw just a point of note but Suarez 31 and didn't take any penalties!

Yea. Shearer never played for us according to the way that lot think. You would never know he won his only medal and played his best football of his career with us.
