Have we even played a good game all season?? Even the wins have been terrible to watch. I think we made the wrong call in getting JDT completely out of his depth in this league the players have no clue what to do when out there, tippy tappy at the back pass to Morton long ball possession conceded it happens every time and kamimski second shots saved in the league it's so embarrassing and to think we all wanted a new manager... Grass ain't always greener as they say jeez pittiful display really embarrassed and once again we are a laughing stock to the world..

That for me was as bad as it gets. What made it so hard to watch that embarrassment was that no Rovers player seemed to care!
We saw today life without BBD and currently we have no quality up front. Gallagher has regressed and Vale is not ready yet. We need reinforcements urgently. The curse of Sky again!
Wigan at home is the next Sky match.

Welcome Ajmurtagh88.
I certainly didn't want a new manager! Best bit about today is that the world would have been watching Utd v city.

We need all our injured players back at once, a PROPER centre forward {not a wide attacker), another left back and two midfielders. That's for starters and does not include a coach who knows how to use them. Playing about at the back is a definite no no.
The only player worth his pay today was Bradley Dack

Hahah your quite right there thankfully that game was on also and I wanted a change but maybe someone with a bit of championship experience to see what they could do with this lot but I don't think pep could sort out this team tbh

Neither did I. And to be fair I don't now. We're a mid-table/bottom half club. That's where our wage bill is, thats the quality of our players and that's where we'd finish if we had an exactly average Championship manager.

I think Mowbray over-achieved and JDT was over-achieving (although admittedly thats somewhat eroding now). Our next manager could easily make them both look good and have us in a relegation scrap IMO.

I agree with allot of this. Allot of our wins have come across against teams in disarray. Losing managers or off field problems.

today was worse than Luton, Wigan, Coventry and reading. Great first post by the way and welcome to the forum! 👍🏻

David Lowe is supposed to be our ball coach he’s been here three years or more even before Mowbray.

We look so devoid of attacking ideas making the right choices in the final third and always taking an extra touch

We were so poor today, im sorry to the 1700 fans + what had to endure it. Take nothing away from Rotherham who played like lions and dominated every tackle, loose ball. They were fantastic and they've surely no issues this year if they keep that up. Rathbone, Barlaser (Out of Contract in the Summer) dominated a powder puff Garrett and Morton who I've said for weeks looks over played, out of energy. One or two times around our box he gave it away too and I saw another Sunderland MK2.

No fluidity, out best move came at the end of the first half by stretching Rotherham long and catching there press out with counter attacking play, we were devoid after that of any pace and play afterwards. We stalled our own ball play up against a 3+2 wing back formation and constantly allowed bodies to get back to defend our constant overhit and shit passes/balls into the box. We never changed the system/formation and JDT has to be accountable for that.

You have to be in a game to win it, and despite the possession stats we've just been tubbed by a Rotherham side and credit to Matt Taylor who looks like he's doing a superb job at this level like he did at Exeter previously. We are so off the pace that I think the mowbray coaching has been knocked out this team, could you imagine us suddenly playing free flow football? I can't. Those Swansea QPR results at the start of the JDT era look like credit to Mowbrays team.

The ratings:

Kaminski 4 - Should have shouted and claimed that ball for the 3'rd resulting corner then beats him. Pears Kicking is far better. I'd drop him for the next game.
JRC 4 - Poor game, he's not quick enough for that role, mentally and physically. Gets dragged to inside too much, imagine if Ogbene was against him today it would have been suicdial. At fault for not reading that cross field from Pickering first 30 seconds in.
Hyam 3 - Worst game he's had, two goals directly at his fault. He's a stopper and I've no issue with that, he also has now developed a tendency to lump it forwards (Due to a lack of options and shitty back passing), Hope his injury isn't too bad.
Ayala 5 - He was dragged down today by those around him. Could have been 3-0 before the 3rd goal but for a deft accurate and brave header, Garrett/JRC wouldn't have got the ball allowing Washington a clear hit.
Pickering 4 - Poor, struggled against the pace, stupid in danger zone ball which tee'd up Hjelde (Looks a player btw), poor crossing whilst accurate never had any whip and not threatening for the likes of Gallaghers header.
Morton 3 - Dreadful. Overran in midfield tbh, but this lad every pass was over hit, pull your socks up and get stuck in please. Take him of set pieces too and work on those this week please.
Garrett 3 - Poor, he will be a good player that's all to see but he was like a poor Travis today minus 5.
Hedges 4 - dreadful, overhit crosses x 2, not really up to the physicality rotherham gave. He's not really quick but we suffered from a lack of pace out wide today.
Vale 6 - I worry whether he is mentally quick enough for this level, docent seem to read the game to well at this level, but he did work his nuts off today, he's a no.10 playing striker.
Dack 6 - Ran ran ran, a few poor balls but starved of any movement.

Dolan 5 - Fizzed about a bit but like Dack no movement ahead of him.
Phillips 4 - Looked out his depth. Struggles with the ball at his feet.

1780 Rovers fans. A number of them let us down battling on mass with the stewards; one even went over the barriers to try and take on 10+ stewards by himself.

Whilst I don't condone this type of behaviour, is this not a growing sign of frustration amongst the fanbase? Before Sky cut to adverts during HT, did I hear booing near that Gallagher/Pickering throw in?

A large number of fans were booing every sideways / backwards pass when we were playing it across the back. I don’t blame them.

Thought I’d heard something. Fans were right iMO too. This manager isn’t learning
I know we were crap today and I can't defend it. But surely fans have to accept that different managers have different styles of play, and they're not going to throw something they've worked on all their careers out the window on the back of a few losses, or because fans don't like it.

You can switch it up and be optimistic of getting results at Sunday league level, but at the 2nd highest level of English football, for anything to work it needs to be practised and drilled into players for months.

When we did boot it forward today, it was about 1% as effective as when Rotherham did it, because we haven't designed our recruitment, coaching, training drills, formation etc around long ball, they have, and thats the process you need to go through to get any system to work at professional level.

JDT can tweak it I guess, but he's not going to throw it out, no matter how much fans boo. But then I don't understand any of this anyway, fans booed long-ball under Allardyce and are now booing tiki-taka under JDT. I can't be the only one that finds that exasperating.
