Alcohol free stand? FFs why? Drinking alcohol is not a compulsory requisite of attendance is it?
Halal food? Now that is illegal for anyone to produce unless they are muslim..... why I simply cannot say, it defies all logic. It's obvious that successive governments care more about cheap votes than about completely unnecessary cruelty to millions of dumb animals.

The Rovers are trying to make meat of one and fish of another with the supporters and that doesn't bode well going fwd. It does however speak volumes about the muslims willingness for integration in the community.

Weirdly I have a very different attitude when it comes to Rovers than I do when it comes to the country. I'm not saying sod integration, but at the end of the day we have to get them coming to games or the club is dead long-term. If it takes some pretty extreme measures like mass Eid prayers on the pitch, alchohol-free stands, halal food etc, its worth it IMO.

I'm just happy to see Rovers finally acknowledging the danger the club's future is in and being so proactive about it. The departure of local fans with "white flight" from Blackburn has been a looming problem for 20 years now, and the club has been in denial for most of that time. So well done Yasir Sufi (who sounds like a stand-up guy to be honest: https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co....amily-suffer-racist-abuse-outside-ewood-park/) and his colleagues IMO.

They've got a very tough job on their hands but they're giving it a good go by the looks of it.

I understand the requirement to tap into the Muslim community but integration must work both ways. This woman was probably an ignorant low life individual, the type we can all recognise easily. However there could be mitigating circumstances here. supposing she was a respectable Blackburn housewife and mum whose children had become addicted to a class a drug after being supplied by Muslim dealers? Let's be honest, they are known for such.
Supposing her or a friend / relative had a daughter who had been groomed by Asian gangs?
Perhaps she had been the victim of a motoring scam and been accused of running into the back of a car when in fact the car had slammed back into her? Perhaps she had been in a crash with an uninsured driver?
Most key posts in the council are now virtually in the hands of muslim councillors? We all must know now that previously strict planning rules are now a joke. The police avoid confrontations with muslims (andgypsies )like they are plague carriers.
Sure there are plenty of dollopers and ne'er do wells in Blackburn among the indigenous population but let's not pretend that bigotry and racism is all one sided.
The most intolerant religion all over the planet is Islam and it's been a massive mistake for all Europe after centuries of driving the ambitions of the Islamic religion back the past 50 or so years has seen so many European nations put out the welcome mat. Why??? This partly illustrates my point about intolerance, who at first thought the attacker was white? Various Muslim sects can fall out with themselves without provocation. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news...rs-fire-attacks-men-mosques-birmingham-london
imo it's all down to indoctrination from the cradle by radicals unknown.

Well I wasn't really making a proper comment on the Yasir Sufi thing, I just thought his attitude to it was admirable in not sharing her image on social media and starting a witch hunt.

I've shared my general view often enough in the politics thread so won't get into that here, but as I say I think there's a real opportunity for Rovers to get the Muslim community coming to games. It'll be tough to achieve, but if it happens it could make Ewood a fortress and solve my moaner problem if they're anything like they are at cricket! 😛

History on Sky is repeating itself!
We have 5 successive games on Sky from Huddersfield, Hull, Coventry, PNE and Burnley!
We have appeared on Sky so many times this season. Let’s hope it ends better than last!
