I think many were already aware of that WB but then when one looks at the list of goal scorers it does provide rather a strong counter argument, especially so given that the chosen alternative is Derick Williams.
The points stats are damning but maybe there would be a stronger case for leaving him out if we had a 'proper' centre half to bring in. Also now too that we have discovered alternatives to the defensive Evans/ Smallwood pairing and have increased our goal threat from midfield.

He’s a good ‘un .

I was reading a Derby fans forum thread and lots of their fans were impressed by him after we beat them . A good spot by Mowbray. Reed has played his part in keeping the Rovers up , but if he leaves Southampton, there’ll be a queue of much better resourced clubs after him .

Like you say WB , unfortunately I doubt we’ll see him again playing for the Famous Blue and White Halves.

Bugger!! Every time we get the best players playing in their best positions and the team beginning to look strong this season something untoward happens to curtail it!
I hope that he liked his time here (although I doubt he appreciated being stuck on the wings) and that we are able to sign him. Looks like Soton are safe so it might be their intention or off load him.

Hmmm.... if my math is correct and translated into 100m that's a world record time of 9.38secs. Of course that is a measured distance and presumably doesn't include the time lost out of the blocks and that is the most relevant time in football.
However it could be there's a better career for him in athletics? One word of warning though Usain Bolt is miles faster than the lot of em but it seems he can't trap a wet sandbag.

Wow , that’s highly impressive. I can’t say I noticed his pace against Wigan ( was it Wigan ? ) and I can’t say he made a big impact .

In the Tony Mowbray Assessment thread MattAF alluded to pace , fitness and press ( intensity) as being some of the key components of the modern footballer and modern football ( obviously skill plays a part too ) Fitness & intensity you can build into a footballer , but raw pace is a gift .

If Tyler can master the other defensive attributes of concentration, heading and intelligent marking ( tackling has almost been eradicated from the game ) , he could become quite a centre back .

Exactly so OOT. And precisely why I didn't see Rhodes being suitable for the Prem and also why I don't see Dack being good enough either.

Why can he play in the goals? :p

As a replacement for Danny Graham no way! He's not fit to lace his boots as a target man, however he is sharp in the box and might well be able to play off Danny Graham in the Bradley Dack role now that we have a more attacking midfield set up. He'd have to put more of a shift in for the team effort though!
However as a general rule 'never go back' is pretty consistent advice. No doubt some will remind me of others but off the top of my head I can only think of two successful 'returns' for us, Colin Hendry and Henning Berg (the player).

I've been banging on about the quality of Travis, Rothwell and Reed all year nice to see they all got a mention. I recognise the need for patience but I think TM needs to have a little more faith in some of our fringe players.
"Elsewhere on the night, Joe Rothwell’s stunning strike against Nottingham Forest secured the Goal of the Season award – edging out Harrison Reed and Bradley Dack’s efforts – both against West Bromwich Albion – into second and third place respectively.
Midfielder Lewis Travis, who came second in the Player of the Year vote, was the recipient of Rovers’ Young Player of the Year award, after a brilliant breakthrough campaign in the first team.
Harrison Reed, who scored three goals in 33 league appearances during a season-long loan from Southampton, was named Newcomer of the Year."

Good too to see Damien Johnson's work with the youngsters has been recognised.

Myambe to represent Namibia in the Africa Cup of Nations
Good luck to him

Indeed so. But what does this mean from the Namibia Manager...“Going to AFCON, we need all the players we can get and he is surely a player of a different dimension. I had a lot of conversations with him and its clear that he weighed his options carefully.”
What other options can there be? Surely he's not thinking of breaking into the England team? Just make sure that he reports back if Namibia have another Weah / Diouff / Drogba in the making.

Danny Graham wins fans' and players' Player of the Year awards

Bloody love that.

I'll never bring up that Al was slating him 1.5-2 years ago in favour of getting Joe Nuttal in (...oops!) :) But I've always been a big believer that Graham was key to our short to mid term success. I'll fully admit his attitude hasn't always been there but its a lot easier to fix attitude than to fix ability.

What it needed with Graham was for him to get into the mindset that everyone around him wasn't rubbish. As soon as we signed Dack, that was job done.
