I guess it was like a race between a mini and a ferrari. :(

Bitter as we all are I guess we have to congratulate BFC. They have done it the right way for sure.... being niggardly but the sooner some big club entices Dyche away the better.

btw Murphy was gobbing off about the greed of modern footballers on the radio this week!
Thanks for telling me that Gord - it's just pissed me off a little more!! I want to smash my telly every time the slimmey little waster is on!!

Me too Amo. I'm expecting em to pull the plug at some point and liquidate the club to recoup as much as they can before buggering off back to Pune whilst Burnley's future looks ever brighter by the day. Even relegation shouldn't harm them with their board at the helm.
They could easily see us off tbh.:( Poor Jack Walker's best intentions could easily ultimately prove the catalyst for our downfall. If he'd never rebuilt the ground, poured money in and made us a top club the likes of Venkys, Kentaro, Huber Anderson et al would never have even heard of us and we could be rattling around the lower divisions for another century.

Haven't had the heart to post since the debacle that was Wednesday night . I guess I'm in recovery mode

I hate Rovers losing to Burnley , as an Accrington lad and coming from a divided football family it's always got to me in a big way. To tell you the truth I hate playing them , even in the the days when we were on top. Always worried that they'd beat us and I can't believe they've now beaten us 4 times on the trot .

Rovers were hopeless on Wednesday . I've read on some forums that we should have expected it and Mowbray , in his after match comments , implied that they are on a different planet to us now . Sorry but that doesn't wash. John Coleman organised Stanley into a tough , defensively competent , determined side in the same cup competition last season and deservedly beat them 1 -0 .

At home , decent third and fourth division teams should give under strength Premier League teams competitive games in the League Cup. Rovers should have done much better and I'm sorry but Tony Mowbray has to take the blame .

I don't blame you still annoyed and genuinely think we didn't try on Wednesday. I'm sick and tired of hearing Mowbray try and lower expectations, he's got us relegated, recruited extremely poorly and no we are failing. Part of me thinks if we lose to MK then it's game up for Mowbray. He's really grating on me ATM.

Thanks Dunny . When I turn up at Ewood tomorrow I want to see Rovers get into MK Dons faces , 5 or 6 bookings wouldn't go amiss ( for hard mistimed tackles ) and grind out a 1-0 win , just like they should have done on Wednesday night

Part of me thinks it's all part of the plan as EVERY manager we have had during Venky's reign has taken this dumming down approach with the fans.

Strong drink and a weak head. A lifetimes experience tells me that's never a great combination.

Should get keys to bbe ...legends are made from cracking dingles
It wasn't one of their fans targeted just another player under contract. The late Keith Newton played for both clubs without any apparent resentment so what does that make him? Its unacceptable behaviour and after past few years surely there's been countless people who are more worthy recipients of an attempted assault?

I didn't have any sympathy until reading it was the guys birthday. Kind of awful seeing your club lose (or look like they might be heading for a loss) on your birthday (Rovers once lost to United on mine thankfully it wasn't the 7-1 loss) especially when its a fixture he presumably holds in high regard. Still he deserved his punishment and 3 years seems quite appropriate for a 1st offence. Think that's a pretty standard banning order.

As for the book being thrown at the club has anyone heard about any fines? The club ought to bill the police since their draconian security measures can't have been cheap.

The punishment fits the crime in this case, nobody will be feeling it more than him and no need to hang him.
