My good friend here in Cornwall is a big Leicester fan and to be honest I’m not confident for Sunday.
I think Leicester will walk this league this season.
I remember a few games against them; the biggest one being 1992! Is it really 30 years ago?
I remember going to Filbert St in the 60’s for an FA Cup tie and drawing 2-2 and how close we were behind the goals to see the action. I’m sure Duggy got one that day.
Didn’t Mike Newell get sent off at Ewood playing against the Rovers stamping on Hendry?
It’s nice to inhabit the past occasionally!
What of Sunday in front of the Sky cameras? I think we’ll start well but they have Premier League quality all over the team so regrettably I’m going
Rovers 1 v Leicester 3.

A few Leicester memories for me. As you mention Tony, the day Newell got sent off for Leicester at Ewood and we came back from 3-1 down to equalise with virtually the last kick of the game. That was in the 87-88 season I think, when we went on a 23 game unbeaten run at one stage and still managed to miss out on promotion.

The promotion year of 91/92 we played Leicester at Filbert St and in the days of being able to pay at the turnstyles, the seated stand that housed the Rovers fans was over flowing at the start of the game and our following had obviously took them by surprise and they had to open up a section of the terracing next to the home fans to house the overflow.

Then the PO final and super Speedie's legs giving way to send us to the promised land, as you say I can't believe that was 30 odd years since.

I have a particular dislike for Leicester that is seeded mainly in them sacking Ranieri the very fecking year after miraculously winning them the title - still to this day the biggest sporting upset in history imo.

They've got the Prem quality players, the parachute payments, the confidence of a great start..... so 3-1 Rovers.

COYB.

I'd like a win but my love of football continues to wane with Scunthorpe Utd almost on the verge of liquidation.

We played them in this league nigh on 12 years ago, they're in national league north now.

My enthusiasm for this game continues to SAP and disappear. My love for the UK does too, Scunny a high rolling advanced steel facility for rail gets shafted over HS2, that contract went to china. Levelling up my arse.

4-0 to Leicester once they score they score. I've donated to Sunny anyways, see link below

Congratulations. I see your current 'pick a single player to hate' campaign is well up and running.🙄

you must know crap like that tends to breed amongst the supporters. tell me do you think destroying a players confidence will improve him?

Which one, Dolan? let me know when his last great action was? You've got a point but when he rejects a contract believing he's more worthy than his performances show he becomes a target, sadly.

Brereton Diaz, cough, cough.
🤣

3-2 to us. They’ll be scared stiff of us after last season in the cup.

Should be a rather good turnout today on a Sunday, right? Or are people still busy at church? ;)

I've just looked at the league and we need to start winning games,3 games in 6 days this week with Coventry and QPR away after today. Our points total does not reflect the way we have been playing but that's dangerous if you can't win when playing well but what happens when we have a off day.
