Rovers v Norwich City

Just realised we still have no thread for tomorrow's match, so this will have to suffice.
Table-topping Norwich are our visitors, with Teemu Pukki (doesn't he make pies?) their main goal threat.
The Canaries will be hoping to return to the Prem but have lost 3 games already so are by no means invincible.

As for Rovers, will we see an unchanged lineup or will Lenihan return after serving his one-match ban?
Against Bristol City I felt the forward line needed some spark, so perhaps ToMo will change things around a bit.

This is becoming a must-win game to keep up with the pace setters in the Championship and after only gaining 1 point from two (admittedly difficult) away games.

It's possible we may go 3 at the back with Lenihan, Ayala and Williams.

Remember when Norwich came to Ewood top of the premier and we won 7-1.
Unfortunately I remember more being at Blackpool punk festival in the sun a few years back and glancing through sun squinted eyes up at the big church clock to see it wasn't even half past 3.
Then some random drunk asked me if I knew the latest Rovers score.
He certainly thought I was taking the piss upon telling him it was 0-3 to Norwich and said so much during several minutes of ranting.

Anyway. In case I don't get back in time for kick off (it's 20°c and i'm off to a bar/restaurant - so unlikely i'll be rushing back) i'll post my score prediction early
.

Everything points to the fact that we should get absolutely overrun by top of the league.
Though on account of me probably missing the game i'll go for 2-1 to Rovers.
I have to say, that anything less than a win would be a poor result. Another bottle out against one of the top teams would just cement the fact that we are mid table plodders always using mathematical excuses about '...only being x points off something....or almost there' etc.
Like that time I almost pulled Jordan at a Brighton nightclub back in my (and her) peak days.
I don't think it counts for anything.

Rovers need to win but it’s going to be a tough ask .

As we are not capable of beating the top teams this will be another defeat. 2-0 to Norwich. If Armstrong is having a day off yet again we are in trouble. It’s not enough to “run his socks off” they need to score and that’s it. Please prove me wrong regarding the result Rovers!

Lenihan in for Ayala strange decision thought Williams would have been benched, otherwise unchanged from Bristol.Rovers 2 v 1 Norwich

I see Norwich are sponsored by Lotus.

The equivalent for Rovers is being sponsored by Trabant or Lada. 😔
