Unbelievable!

I was in conversation with a keen cyclist who had gone to the Olympics in LA with his sister. She was competing in the GB team and the cyclist's accommodation was in a building along with the boxing and judo teams. I said there'd be some fit lads there then? He said yes but then informed me that any injuries to their cycling club members and they were treated at Wigan RFC, he went on to say that those guys are the fittest sportsmen that he had ever seen and that the Rugby league players strength. fitness and stamina was just unreal.

Kevin Sinfield is such an excellent role model. RL is truly ‘one big family’ and the sport always does its best for those from other teams in their time of need…this has been seen time and time again.

As for fitness yes they are the fittest sportsmen around. My nephew was with Wigan Academy and recently signed for Huddersfield Giants.

I don't usually bother with the egg chaser game but in the absence of anything else on TV I got the last half hour. I really enjoyed it. At the age of 80 I may be starting to be converted if every game is as good as this one.

The players are as hard as nails. They play hard and then shake each other’s hands after the game. It is known as ‘the family game’. They are the fittest players in any team sport.

I hear great things about Rugby League but when I watch it ( which I did today off and on ) it’s a game I just can’t get into , yes the guys are tough and fit , but the game seems very formulaic .

I’ve just watched La Rochelle v Leinster in the Champions Cup Final in the other code, that was a belting game .
