Whatever Mowbray's faults may be at least he's no wifebeater. Wonder if that was a case of like son like father? Wouldn't surprise me.Bit early to say I hate being right but let's say I'm not surprised. Phil Brown is one of the managers I said I'd have preferred instead of Mowbray this season and looking at the match stats they were far better. Next league match is against another I mentioned in Ferguson, let's hope we get our act together.
Brilliant travelling support if that 1,500 figure is correct.
Agree with all this but I would say same new rovers, the old rovers were great.I have now settled down after returning from Southend about 1/2 hour ago.
That was an abject performance from Rovers. The only player with any credit was Raya who thankfully kept the score down to 2 when it should have been 4 or 5.
The Southend goalie made only one save!!
We punted it up to Graham about 60 times, it came back about 60 times, you would have guessed after 6 times we might change our tactic, I did not see Graham jump once. We were out muscled, gave away possession too many times and they closed us down immediately.
Same old Rovers. We must learn from today.
No I didn't tbh. Quick pint in a pub across the park and that was it for pre match entertainment.Drog: did you try any jellied eels and liquor?
Only one thing to say. Neither Todd nor Moran were midfielders. It's bad enough having to play midfielders as centre halves but to compound it by playing centre halves as midfielders. No structure, no shape, no passion, no leadership on the field.
Fans keep saying this is a marathon not a sprint but in L1 every single game is a sprint.
We need a hard man in midfield, an Andy Todd or Kevin Moran type of player. Booting it up to 'old lead shoes' Graham does not work.
This is a wake up for Mowbray and the fans.

I take your point though that we need a midfield enforcer but one with experience and know how to make an impact in this division. People hoped that Whitingham would provide this.
I rather thought that Jason Lowe would excel in that role in this division but that ship has sailed. Sometimes you don't realise a player's worth till he's gone.Whitingham looked like you could puff him off the ball. He was a pansy yesterday.
