What did you think of Ken Beamish? Nothing nefarious as far as I know but moaning about too many fans showing up to an autograph signing is pathetic. Roversmum said this somewhere else and she isn't a malicious liar. I did hear Agnew disliked Lee Grooby though so he had one virtue at least. :D

Just read the player/wages section and whilst it tells us nothing new it's excellent to hear that common sense is prevailing and that the club is being well run and cutting its cloth to suit its needs.
'Suit it's needs" drog?
Surely, we're in position to do something significant, so our "needs" are to bolster that position, and we did what?

We can't pay over the top wages. We seems to have a proper recruitment strategy in place and wage structure that we won't break.

Also on the Rothwell, Nyambe and Lenihan situation, I agree they are taking huge risk by risking to test the free market with most Championship clubs having a financial reset this season and beyond now

Got to agree - my feelings on the Coventry3/4 are well known
One thing did stand out for me was the obvious distain for "agents" interventions
It did also explain (perhaps) why there is so much tinkering with team selection as there were multiple references to appearance bonuses and shares of promotion pot being based on appearances
Maybe it would be a good idea to just spread any bonus equally throughout the club. Then TM wouldn't feel obligated to give everyone game/substitution time and it may also free him up to bring through youngsters like Valle sooner and without sulking from our older pro's

Mowbray won't be picking his team based on bonus but he will pick the best team for the game. Most of starting 11 picks itself tbh depending on formation

Wage structure again I'd say .
I've just said on another topic that we were in for Davis from Villa but for some reason he elected to go to Forest. It could have been proximity or it could have been wages and/or the deal with Villa, who knows. I do know we didn't get him but I'm sure a striker like that would have been worth his weight in gold to us. Can't fault us for not trying though.

Getting promoted, Chaddy.
Being and staying in the top two, should be the aim. There should have been "significant" signings to maintain that position.
We made sensible and logical signings. Mowbray said we wouldn't overspend on fees or wages.

Didn't know we were in for him. Heard from a decent source we were for Healey from Toulouse but couldn't agree transfer fee.

Hmmm I wonder if someone's been reading these pages re the dreadful experience of watching the rovers play away for older supporters and especially so for families? Also the requirement for more money through the turnstiles might prompt the club to offer a segregated area for away families and older people who don't want to or can't stand up for 90 minutes.

I can't say this season I had any bad experiences at away games I've been to. The biggest problem was Blackpool away where they were the stewarding was useless and people sitting in other people seats.

what have you experience this season?

I would in favour of a part of the away end being reserved for family and elderly people.
