We play the Owls the coming Saturday. If Rovers win I may well have a glass of Tawny, or maybe treat myself to a big Hooter instead ; however given our displays recently we will struggle to hit a Barn door. We need a good display from Little Adam Armstrong and our very own Short Eared Sam Gallagher.
Enough of the owl jokes! For those Eagle eyed readers I ask you to identify from the following lookalike photographs: a) the famous Sheffield Wednesday footballer who used to play for Rovers; b) the celebrity chef. I may well need to give you a clue......one of them is dead
Talking of famous folk there are a number of A listers who support Sheffield Wednesday. Three of them are former Labour MP’s: 1) David ‘Junkett’ Blunket who appears to watch games through rose tinted specs; 2) Roy Hatterjee who was famous for being the model for the original Spitting Image; 3) and Momentum / Labour MP Jared “I am not well and in the process of receiving medical help” O’Mara.

I did my usual extensive research and came up with a lad called Jermaine Jackson. I thought he was a former footballer for Birmingham City but no he is indeed the brother of the famous, and also now dead, Michael Jackson. When I looked at a photo of them together I am at a loss as to how they are related given Jermaine is black and Michael looks like Mr Spock.

Given our recent form our very own Rovers superfan has been getting a wee bit hot under the collar. After watching recent performances of ‘Give me the Willies’ Walton between the posts she has taken to drinking White Lightening Cider mixed with Thunderbird white wine from a ginger beer bottle, times are desperate with our fan base.
In preparation for this tie our Kate has been trying on a variety of different outfits. I helped her into this little blue n white number, the Spandex really does bring out her curves don’t you think?
As for the result I am finding this one difficult to call. Our performances at Hillsborough in recent years have been poor so instead of me predicting it I asked Kate to give me quick one instead. She predicts a nicely rounded pair for us, and a big 0 for the owls.
So 0-2 it is then.
