So its 2 out of 3 for citeh after they elbowed Man Utd aside in the all Manchester FA cup final. So nice to see Man Utd supporters at last having to take the bitter pill of metaphorically having sand kicked in their faces by a wealthier club filled with better players! A club which like Everton in Liverpool has been a long way second best for generations. It's been a long time coming and no doubt we'll soon get sick and tired of City fans gloating but at the moment I can easily put up with it. As Alan Shearer has opined, Man City currently can turn out the two best teams in the Premier League!
So....... Yet another prime example of why our national stadium should have been located in the Midlands somewhere close to the facilities of the NEC. I once had a reckon up and almost 70% of FA Cup finalists from the start have been from North of Birmingham! Even worse this season as the play off finals at Wembley featured
Coventry v Luton
Sheff Wed v Barnsley
and
Carlisle v Bradford!
Next up the Carabao cup semis and finals featured 3 northern clubs out of the four (Southampton, Newcastle, Nottm Forest and eventual winners Man Utd).
Finally the Papa Johns Final featured a full house for the Bolton v Plymouth final. How tf can London be anywhere close to being in the middle of that lot? When the decision was made to rebuild Wembley in London it stank to high heaven as far as I was concerned. Croneyism, corruption, southern bias within the FA, it's all there and the sole reason that I decided never to set foot in the place.... even if BRFC might make an appearence there at some time!
How ludicrous now that environmental concerns are so high on most agenda's that the FA waste planetary resources dragging all these people to that dreadful corner of North London. I'd love some number cruncher to estimate the cost to the planet and the environment of 75000 people travelling down to Wembley on such a regular basis.
