Would you care to ponder if we would still have a steel industry if the Chinese had been able to keep dumping cheap steel on world markets? Port Talbot, our last big steel plant, has come within an inch of closure because of unfair practices by China. The EU is doing what it does best - protecting the interests of its members, including us.

The people are speaking and the EU elite are rattled . Junker talking absolutely unintelligible nonsense . They’ve only themselves to blame as their policies have led to the vanquishing of the centre left & the rise of the far right in Italy & Germany . Add to that the rise of Corbyn’s anti - Semite hard left in the U.K. and in Scotland the rise in divisive flag waving nationalism , means there’s a massive responsibility on the centre right to counter this extremism .

For the UK it’s crucial that the EU starts to put people before ideology and agrees a mutually beneficial Brexit deal. For Italy the EU has to look at their policy on migrants & the damage the Euro has done to the Italian people , especially their young people for whom unemployment is a scourge
