I would be interested to know on what grounds a search warrant was applied for? Magistrates can be very particular. The point I was referring to in the legislation was about the Police finding a vacant pitch for the travellers! What nonsense.
No ideai in fact I'm not altogether sure that search warrants had been applied for but a load of gypoes were on Moor Park and the police blockaded them in whilst they checked for proof of ownership of the vehicles and particularly the caravans. Seemed a number of them had been nicked and were immediately impounded, contents and all! At the same time a number of gypoes who had descended late on Fri afternoon blocking the car park at Paul's Farm shop in Leyland and were demanding over 6k to clear off before Saturday opening. The owner declined to pay but they left with indecent haste at the same time that the Police were checking the Moor Park crew! Obviously they'd been warned of the Police tactic and didn't want the police to turn up and do the same to them.

The problem is the owner will get it back on providing proof of insurance. He will have to pay the recovery costs though.

The driving of young asian males is frequently appalling and highly dangerous. There is little regard to road safety, manners and courtesy. Anybody living in this area will have witnessed it and frequently with disbelief. The insurance premiums for BB postcodes reflects this but that doesn't matter for those who drive uninsured.
