Western society continues to be pushed aside.

How can anyone respect these people?

I can see a new Nazi type leader in the near future and unfortunately a repeat of 39.

The pendulum of history.
More accurately a repeat of the 30's is more relevant. The rise of the national socialists didn't happen in one year.

How long can the term "migrants" be misused before the correct term "illegal immigrants" is employed by the press and media?

There are legal ways to enter a country, and there are illegal ways to enter a country.
The only time I have agreed with a right wing PM was when John Howard said "We will decide who come to this country and the way they do so" (or words to that effect).
The sovereignty of a country means nought otherwise.
You don't see these people fleeing to Russia, China, Middle Eastern countries, North Korea etc etc. I wonder why?

Cue more Palestinian sympathy from Muslim organisations and the soppy left wing Palestinian supporters in this country after Israel will inevitably strike back. All good publicity for hamas who will no doubt set of their rockets off from hospitals and schools etc. "unprecedented" being the keyword.

Funnily enough I’ve just passed a chap putting a Palestine flag up on Accrington Road outside his shop.

Why the UK which after WW2 taxed everyone into oblivion to rebuild for its own people doesn't do What the likes of Australia, Canda, NZ do and that's place a foreigner higher tax on workers and bar them until citizens to purchase property I will never know.

Stop making the place desirable for the undesirables.

I see armed police on alert in London around Jewish North London boroughs!

They'll need to be on red alert when Israel strikes back ..... and it will.

I can't imagine Hamas would do something like this without some serious backing.

I have a great sympathy for Palestinians who essentially had their land robbed of them by western decision-making, but only peace is the answer because things can't be simply undone, and we are where we are. Israel is no saint in this, but what Hamas are doing is destroying what little hope there may have been for any kind of peace talks. The Middle East situation has clearly regressed to where it was decades ago.

It will be Iran funding it.

They channel funds to Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in Gaza. Not to mention the Youthis in Yemen.

The worrying this is Amnesty International seem to have been arming Hamas too. Surely this wrong?

A senior spokesperson from the militant Palestinian group Hamas said it was not attacking civilians, despite claims by Amnesty International and other rights groups.
Fighters from Hamas’s armed wing, the Al Qassam Brigades, yesterday launched an unprecedented incursion into territories around the Gaza strip, capturing at least 100 Israelis, according to Hamas.
Footage circulating on social media showed terrified captives, including mothers huddling with their children, in the custody of Palestinian militant groups.
Agnès Callamard, Amnesty International’s secretary general, said yesterday: “We are deeply alarmed by the mounting civilian death tolls in Gaza, Israel and the occupied West Bank and urgently call on all parties to the conflict to abide by international law and make every effort to avoid further civilian bloodshed. Under international humanitarian law all sides in a conflict have a clear obligation to protect the lives of civilians caught up in the hostilities.”
Responding today while speaking to Al Jazeera, the senior Hamas spokesperson Osama Hamdan said his group was not attacking civilians.
“You have to differentiate between settlers and civilians. Settlers attacked Palestinians … We hope that Amnesty has humility to send us more developed weapons to attack only the soldiers,” he said, per Al Jazeera.
Hamdan claimed that civilians living across towns near the Israeli border with Gaza, which has long hemmed in more than 2 million people, could also be considered settlers, comparable to the hundreds of thousands of Israeli settlers living across Palestinian territories in the West Bank.
“We are not targeting civilians on purpose. We have declared settlers are part of the occupation and part of the armed Israeli force. They are not civilians,” he said.

I think the Hamas spokesperson's quote is tongue in cheek - telling Amnesty International to provide "more-sophisticated weapons" so that they can target soldiers, rather than "more sophisticated weapons" on top of what you're reading as Amnesty International's existing supply of weapons to Hamas. I think it's a grammatical misreading because I'd be very surprised if Amnesty International dealt with weapons at all!

As you said, though, Iran, as well as Syria, look to be suppliers of weapons to Hamas. I do wonder if there is a sort of game being played here to stop Saudi Arabia from recognising Israel as a nation state. If you think about it, Israel launching a retaliation could well end any hopes they have of getting more recognition as a nation state in the Middle East.

Possibly but the Hamas chap had stated the same to Aussie tv this morning.

I totally concur with your last paragraph. Israel and Saudi becoming cooperative leaving Iran and co behind in wilderness.
