VAR

If VAR helps to eliminate both incompetence and big club bias, then I'm all for it.

I'm not sure that those two examples are the same.
To me, "incompetence" is a ref, not being able to make a decision confidently, knowing he has a back up that exonerates him completely.
Big Club bias is just cheating.

Var isn't infallible (nothing is or ever can be) but It's an improvement on just relying on one pair of eyes. As long as the %age correct decisions are significantly in favour then that's a plus on why went on before.
Btw we seem to have another ref with a bias today.

Second game running where VAR would have been justified. It's undeniable.

The referees in this league are so scared of giving any decision other than the obvious faffy yellow cards and warnings. They are passengers that are simply afraid of making a wrong decision.

I think half the time the on field referee is letting VAR and the off field referees make the decisions, not all are correct. I do agree that it’s spoiling the game.
(Cue an Al yawn now)
Anything to oblige. YAAAAWN! This unwinnable argument really does bore the shit out of me.

The point that most miss is that there are far more correct than incorrect decisions via VAR.... but you won't have that.:p

I tried to get this point across yesterday - that we only ever hear about VAR during the few controversial occasions. Rarely do you see anybody saying "VAR got it right". You could apply that to the general scope of life.

Tough shit for hull eh? Card overturned but no consolation for the 3 points lost by getting beaten by 3 second half goals. Heaven forbid it had been Man Utd v Liverpool!

I think Kompany needs to be asking his defenders why none of them jumped for the ball.

Their keeper is dreadful. He must have cost them a dozen points himself. Hilarious.

Reading the reports James Trafford kept Burnley in the match. I think this lad will be a top keeper but he's hit the Premier too soon and too young.

Not from what I’ve seen he won’t.

Disaallowed goal by Van Dyke for Liverpool v Chelsea in the Carabao cup. Valid but very contentious and very harsh imo. I can't see how offside / not offside / obtruction could have impacted the contest between Van Dyke and Chilwell.
