Human error again. Var cuts out an awful lot of human errors which is good but inevitably a few still slip through the net. Doing away with it is dinosaur thinking.

Anything which reduces referee bias has to be good for the smaller clubs.

I watched nufc v lpool last night and amid claims that Nunez handled the ball before he scored the opening goal (which many of the watching boozers thought was offside... as did Micah Richards on motd) var proved that it was not handball and the goal stood. Up to now I've not heard any credit given to var for that, yet if that had been given as handball and the goal struck off the entire media and press given the benefit of replays would have been calling for video evidence to be brought in.

poor Nick pope is a really top keeper but will miss the league cup final next week because of his inability to play football. His comical attempts to stop salah failed utterly so in a panic he grabbed the ball with his hands and was shown a red card. His Achilles heel is also stopping him playing regularly for England. Nowt Nick or anybody else can do about that I'm afraid, you either have it or you don't... he doesn't!

Dunno who was on duty yesterday but I can only assume they'd had a few scoops too many over lunch and nodded off at 3pm. Disgraceful decisions at many grounds despite the system giving perfect replays. Brentford done over in particular by the VAR official who must have been a spurs supporter with West Ham wrongly benefiting against Fulham.

So Brighton have now received their THIRD apology letter of the season from the VAR panel for mistakes they have made. Unbelievable how they can’t get decisions correct when they have all that video footage. Get it binned now.

No ...... I keep saying it's not the equipment, it's the officials. How come odb that you never comment on the decisions that var gets right? They are in the vast majority.

Because VAR is employed as the 100% decision maker, and it’s far from 100%. Poor Brighton.
