Well he had given a penalty so I guess they wanted the Ref to take another look to be sure.

No idea about that but if I'd have gone to look at that on the monitor and as an ex amateur striker I could easily have given a pen cos imo his actions did take the player out.
You were a striker?

After all the stupid decisions last season, VAR says this isn't handball 😂😂😂
Thankfully, it's against Man U so who cares anyway?

What????? A decision going against Man Utd???? At Old Trafford???? Well I never!
tbh in my day it wouldn't have been handball because it wasn't intentional and was ball to hand. However no matter how inadvertent it was it did help him control the ball and in these days that's usually enough. Is the Ref an ABU like the vast majority in this nation I wonder?

exactly right drog. No intention., and the ball came up to the hand.

But I still laughed, and I love Karma even more.
I'm watching the FFA cup final, with no var (as it can't be used on all grounds, so it's not used at all) but they have behind the goal refs. And low and behold, these other refs denied a penalty (given by the onfield ref) for a player offside.
Humans 1 Var 0 (yeah I know, but they have to watch in slo mo).

During the Everton Man City game this occurred in the City penalty area. After being reviewed by VAR they decided it wasn’t handball!!!F50DC597-42E1-4639-A9D6-1BFC7457E4B5.jpeg

Can't comment from still photos but it does suggest that the reviewer got it wrong and VAR was absolutely correct to suggest a review.

Hand ball all day long BUT VAR revealed Richarlison marginally offside in the build up. I think it was one of those 'if he'd cut his toenails that morning he'd have been onside' decisions. The decision although unpopular across the City as well as in Liverpool and West London was correct IF it can be proven that the offside was correct.
As it stands it just seems that Arab money rules OK in Premier League football.

Nothing wrong with VAR just the dickheads who make the decisions. The Swedish defender didn't make a move to trip the Norwegian plus the Norwegian added a swallow dive to attempt to convince the Ref. Anybody who does that IS diving.

It’s the crap behind the screen that needs to be sorted. Unfortunately I don’t think anyone will be punished for this as everything regarding referees are so sensitive. Untouchables as usual.

That incident is just more proof if ever any were needed that Referees have never kicked a football in their lives.

VAR costs Wolves a perfectly good winner at Anfield

"There was confusion around Tito's disallowed goal, with Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui outraged by the decision.

The linesman flagged for offside against the initial corner taker, after he received the clearance. The VAR then had no camera angle available with any evidence to overturn the decision."

So there was allegedly no camera angle available? At anfield?

What an absolute joke this system is

I don't understand that. I've not seen much debate about it but if the linesman and referee are bent isn't var designed to clear wrong decisions up? Getting rid of var will just return us to the bad old days of brown envelopes and 'homers', especially now with so much money involved and so many dodgy overseas owners from countries where corruption is rife.

The point was the equipment at Anfield was incomplete surprisingly. Who would have believed cheating scousers eh?
