Grief! I've seen some top penalties and some bloody awful ones too in the league cup tonight. All these staggered run ups are just pathetic. If anyone wants a laff just watch Newcastle's penalty shoot out and lpools Robert Firmino.🤣

Totally agree on Edun's pass, how often do you see a defence-splitting straight ball played along the ground from a defender that puts it on a plate for a striker, absolutely incredible pass.

And yeah what a finish by Ben, even by his standards that was good.

I'm not quite as ecstatic as some I don't think, for me this was 2 reserve teams playing each other in what is a minor priority competition until the quarter final. But I do like that yet again it was a chance to demonstrate the bottle and never-say-die attitude that JDT seems to have brought to the squad. And from a psychological sense, its a nice boost to overcome a PL team a few days before we're playing top of the Championship.

Plus brilliant for the travelling fans, 2,000 I heard which is a top following and glad they had fun.

The girl who was commentating / reporting for sky screwed up when during the pens she referred to whu as 'we' before a profuse apology.
