We shouldn't forget the plonk, sorry fine wine. I know Al enjoys a good red, what about the rest of you?

No airs and graces here. I quite like a glass of merlot etc but I prefer a nice crisp chilled white to relax with. Sauvignon blanc / suave / chablis or some similar supermarket plonk being the wine of choice in our house. I do get a case from Naked Wines every so often and prob get more from Majestic. I will at this point say that we tend to prefer Chilean to NZ SB.
Whalley wine shop is good but parking is a problem whilst Burns in Clitheroe is probably the best of all but that represents a case of putting pearls before swine to a lager lout like yours truly.

I know one of the brothers at Byrne's wines in Clitheroe.
I'm no connoisseur but I usually go in and say to him " 6 bottles of red around a tenner each".
He comes back with some weird stuff I would never have picked (or heard of) but he's not let me down yet.
Wine is strictly for drinking with a meal for me - I can't do a night just drinking wine - it knocks me out!

I love a nice rich Pedro Ximinez Sherry. Really sweet and ideal with vanilla ice cream. This is the best, about £32 per bottl.

All at sea as far as wine’s concerned . I have the WotWine app which I use to buy white wine for the wife from which ever supermarket I’m in at the time . Like WB , tend to drink wine at a meal and don’t mind a nice red . Last one was a Malbec at Christmas. Unlike WB , I pay a lot less than £10 a bottle !

Whilst shopping I tend to buy bottles of pale ale - got 4 bottles of Circadian Every Day IPA last week in ASDA .

I've just bought a 2015 Margaret River Chardonnay (a case) for $230. Very nice.
Coming, a Houghton Shiraz, the Mrs like a good shiraz, and a French Rose that I can't wait to taste

No wonder it's 32 quid, look at the age, 30 years +
Conversely. My car's only worth a sixth of what I paid for it half a dozen years ago. It's certainly not gone up in value.
