Possibly but at least A. Wharton can tackle. The other two have been a complete embarrassment for the last 2/3 games. Morton needs a spell out. Buckley needs a loan away.
I disagree. Adam W is too young for the rigours of a full season, morton similar. Kids need introducing, resting and bringing in gradually to get the best out of them. Too much too soon can delay and damage their development. Phillips is another who needs to be patient for his own good. No doubt all the tech they have down at Brockhall will be able to chart and highlight their performances.

I see the merits in what your saying and you are right to an extent, but Morton has been overplayed and it shows in his performances in my opinion, looks a bit leggy.

It was offside, by whiskers.

Great ball from Wintle there.

Pitch is looking badly worn. I'm told jdt has fallen into the same trap as TM did a couple of seasons ago by insisting that the players train on it and also that the groundsman is under orders to cut it short. He needs telling different!😠

Poor game in truth, hard watch that second half at times. Garrett was my MoM but it went to Dack from Sky who was probably equally deserving, ran his heart out all game. Looking good atm is Dack.

A hard earned 3 points but welcome all the same. I do think Hyam or Hedges were a more worthy choice than Dack as Player of the Match but I don’t begrudge it him as there were signs he’s getting back to form.
I thought the team played some great football at times but just lack a bit of quality up front. I‘ve always supported Gallagher in the past but he was really frustrating today. BBD was impressive with his energy and skilful running and could have had a goal himself.
Morton and Garrett played well as did the defensive unit. If only Ayala had been fit to play for the last couple of years.
The only downers we’re the state of the pitch and the crowd atmosphere. It would be great if the fans got consistently behind the team but that criticism has been levelled at Rovers fans since the 60’s!
Anyway the transfer window is now open so let’s hope for some exciting additions.

I thought Hyam was MOTM by a mile, his defensive work was immense. Dack did play well, he was creative and worked his socks off.

Gallagher was very poor as was BBD who was greedy twice when a pass would have no doubt brought us a goal and put the game to bed.

Sorry but I believe that Morton and Garrett together in midfield are too weak. This will mean that Dack will have to play deeper

it was for booting the ball away after the goal. A bit over the top in my opinion

The difference a game/win makes eh.

We were poor imo, devoid of any link up play going forwards, we seem to have had that mowbray push knocked out of us now replaced by some old Serie A type defensive boring football. We are boring to watch, we piss around and make stupid passes in around the danger zones, see JRC and a superb Garrett tackle first half for what would have been a certain goal. We look poorly coached to be honest. We don't learn, we don't play to the strengths of the group instead we are trying to play a way we are coached and it shows to be honest, the players don't look happy with it, the XG is with the bottom four of the league. Cardiff on Xg would have scored 3 x as many goals as rovers prior today, did they look in any way doing that? No.

Kaminski 6 - His kicking is appalling, spectator for most of the came.
JRC 6 - Still to central for my liking, poor positionally in this role, allows that ball over the top to many times.
Hyam 7 - Solid, really earns his money in the second half. Some crucial choice making, first half I thought he was a bit clumsy.
Ayala 7 - Without a doubt our best CB whilst fit, his reading of the game is second to none. Second division Sami Hyypia.
Pickering 6 - Stuck to the task in the first half against his best mate NG, hope his injury wasn't bad as it was notable how weak we are once we introduced the impersonator Edun.
Morton 5 - Overplayed for me, a better game than recent, he's in the team as he reads the game and is mentally quicker than most, but his passing a good 3-4 times overhit/overplayed partially down to a lack of movement around him but we lost possession and we can't afford that against better sides.
Garrett 8 - Everywhere, stupid challenge for the yellow, world class challenge afterwards before HT in our box, simple or long he has a good pass, like a better young version of Travis. Really shone for me today.
Hedges 7 - Technically and game wise on another planet to this team, seems to make the right choices at the right times usually, never stopped all day.
Back 8 - Ran his nuts off all game, on field captain looking around pushing, demanding to close down, scored fluky but they all count, his passing bar crosses on his right foot was so technical at times.
Gallagher 5.5 - Ran his heart out, tracked back many of times to help JRC, a lack of options ahead meant he drove the ball in field to many times and he must have lost it 4 times at least, a pain for the opposition and gave Kipper some thought.
BBD 5 - Poor, Me me me. That said he was moaning after 60 mins on the field for options after some good tracking back and winning the ball, should have squared to A.Wharton in the dying stages but went for glory.

Edun 2 - 3 times he lost his man, 2 went into the danger zone. An apopolytic disaster waiting to happen at LB.
A.Wharton - 5 Skied clearance but should have got the ball of BBD. Limited game time.
Travis 6 - Added some bite, ref should have blown for a foul at one point on him, he got on won the ball back.

JDT 6 - Poor subs yet again, wrong timings. What's Markanaday got to do to get some mins especially with BBD not on form?

A Scrappy win against the team whom have scored least in the division.

I've asked this recently on here but why do Rovers players who find their best form always get injured?
🤔
