Because Gaz did everything around Jason Lowe, multitude of theories for that but if it was just down to his judgement (not sure it was) then he was badly wrong to insist on trying to build a team around him.Hughes had an eye for talent AND he exceeded expectations. Signing players is only half the battle, melding them into a cohesive unit is the rest. Notwithstanding the fact that there was a vast turnover of players during Bowyer's tenure, so law of averages some of them will work out. He also re-signed Alan Judge, only to bin him after a dozen appearances. The same Judge who went on to become one of the Championship's most prolific players before his injury. That doesn't say much for Bowyer's judgement, let alone Venky's.
Bowyer probably would've made a good no. 2, with his talent spotting and nice-guy demeanour. We had a Peter Taylor, we just needed a Cloughie to go with him.
You criticise GB but so has just about every manager since relegation when Lowe was fit. Must say Smallwood is one of our most consistent performers but I do believe that Lowe would actually do as good or better job of sitting behind Dack and Chapman in attacking midfield.Because Gaz did everything around Jason Lowe, multitude of theories for that but if it was just down to his judgement (not sure it was) then he was badly wrong to insist on trying to build a team around him.
If they really are going to fund us I think we should at least give them a chance to show they mean it. What is the alternative?I hope they rot in hell for all eternity.
Funny thing is Stockholm Syndrome.
Lowest position in nearly 40 years yet gullibles are blinded by 3 rd tier success.
That's good news . Throughout this season the Rovers seems to have been run like a normal football club. We have a CEO who is making the right noises , a manager who is getting it right on the pitch , a top first team player looking to extend his contract and a youth set where one or two are stepping up to the first team, as well as getting to the quarter finals of the youth cup and on the verge of winning the U23 league .May as well put this here........... A couple of snippets that have reached my shell like. Seems the venkys are watching from afar.
The players are on a coach down to Gillingham but the venkys have stumped up to fly them home straight after the match in order for them to be well rested with less disruption to their routines as possible for the Bristol away match on Saturday.
Also funds have been promised to strengthen the squad should we get promoted AND funds promised too if we don't so that we will be able to a. fend off any approaches for our better players and b. sign better players for our weaker positions. Of course such decisions are usually in the hands of the player's and their agents these days.
You gave your opinion which everybody is already well aware of, but you ignored Al's (and OOT) question Abbey. Taking lessons in evasion from BenJimJohn by any chance?Re.al.
And there you have it...how can you forget what they've done ?!!?!
Oh boo boo they are funding us ?? Smoke and mirrors ...feck me it's great funding we've gone from top half of the premier league to our lowest finish in 40 years , the funding includes selling top flight quality players and replacing them with lower league ones ,in the meantime on top of the transfer fees our debt has gone up from 22 million to 120 odd chuffing million and nearly 100 owed to them scumbags .
Oh well all's forgiven ....NOT BY ME IT AINT
Horrible fecking slimy clueless two hats
Don't be daft. No one can forget whats happened can they. It'd be like me forgetting how you applauded the start of the rot when they binned off Allardyce. You cheered to the rafters and proclaimed either Ian Holloway or Tugay to replace him.Re.al.
