Booing BLM

Seems to me that those Millwall fans have let the genie out of the bottle. The silent majority are about to be heard imo.

Crikey! It's over 50 years since I read that SLKS. Remarkably Orwellian Britain with snooping devices on just about every vantage point came about 20 years later than 1984.

Hows the poll going? I refuse to venture onto that left-wing lunatic asylum website ever again.
It was 63/37 last time I looked with 320 votes but given they’re from a certain pollsters audience and sample following then I’m not sure I’d be Suprised. I imagine if you did it neutrally and phrased the question not in a leading way youd be closer to 50/50 at least that’s how I’ve read on the whole topic generall.

When we get fans back at Ewood I suspect that we will get boos for the ‘kneel’.

I rather hope it will have been abandoned by the time we get back. In fact I'd wager as soon as LUFC are allowed em.

btw I'm not sure but anybody notice if MoTD2 showed the players kneeling at Spurs v Arsenal? I couldn't be sure but I thought it had been omitted. No doubt the BeeB will have considered showing players taking the knee and dubbing the sound with 'Melting Pot' / Blue Mink.

I saw something on twitter yesterday about this. Any news articles or is it just random people who feels offended?
It doesn´t matter either way. As in recent years, picking out just 3 comment replies on Twitter seems to be enough to create a ´Twitter storm´with subsequent headline news article.

There are too many comments I could reply to here so I´ll pop one off on it´s own.
I mentioned this before in another thread some weeks back; in Spain they are definitely not taking the knee (I´ve seen a few La Liga games in the bars here or at ´home´since the 6pm curfew). Does that mean they are all racists?

What about elsewhere in Europe? Where else are they taking the knee?
Or anywhere else in the World?
In seems there are a whole lot of racists out there . . .

The funniest thing was seeing how predictable the usual media´s ´fly in the ointment/´kryptonite´ played out with them just totally ignoring it.
That is to say when any non whites decide to be ´racist´ they don´t seem to want to kick up the same storm.
To give you the best recent example of that we´d have to switch sports to cricket where the racist Pakistan team refused to take the knee for their ´black brothers´.

I had a look on Twitter and after 416 votes it’s 62% in favour of support. I won’t go on that crap biased left wing website either.

That’s better , a bit of common sense from Millwall FC and a better way to show a commitment to equality and anti- racism

Hopefully other clubs ( Rovers please note ) will follow their example and the nauseating sight of ‘ taking the knee ‘ will eventually be consigned to the dustbin of history . Sport needs to distance itself from the BLM movement.

Really shows just how much the woke left are exactly like a playground bully. They push and push and push everyone else until finally one kid stands up to them (Millwall). Their instinctive response is to try to rip his head off, but then the other kids (West Ham, Scunthorpe, many other fans) stand behind the first kid. And finally the bully backs off and starts a conversation, which should have been the approach in the first place.

Perhaps we should all write to Steve Waggott to give him a pointer as to how very many fans must be thinking.

Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live's Monday Night Club, former England defender Micah Richards said booing is "not acceptable".

"Millwall fans, from their point of view, this whole movement is becoming political. They're saying they don't think the players at their club should want to kneel because of what Black Lives Matter represents in their mind," he said.

"If they're booing that, it's not acceptable, but it's free speech and that is their opinion, but I think people are taking Black Lives Matter in a different context and changing the actual narrative of what it's all about.

"When the players are taking the knee they are not saying black lives matter and they are any better than white lives, they are trying to say it's a stand for equality and unity and that is why they are taking the knee."

Nice try Micah but that is what it says on the tin and what BLM SKY Sports promote at every possible opportunity.

I do wonder who Micah's speechwriter is as it is apparent that they have done no research

I've always thought that sport is the one thing that brings people together, albeit on different sides.
It creates conversations at work, in pubs, on the street. It's not who you are talking to, it's what you are talking about.
Yes, racism is vile and not wanted in life. Those that are guilty of it in sport should be turfed out, but sport should be the catalyst that brings people together, not the instigator of division.
I'd rather see, at the end of a game of football, what the ladies do at the end of a netball game, two teams gather in the centre, arms around each other and celebrate the game they've just played against each other.
There are better ways of getting rid of racism, and, to me, "taking a knee" or genuflecting, is not the way,

I see that Millwall v QPR is live on BLM Sky tonight so I'll be up late to watch at least the build up to see what spin Sky put on Millwall's new approach.

Oh, and to see the crowds reaction.

I’m hoping the Millwall fans loudly applaud their players linking arms tonight . If that happens Sky , BBC , the rest of the MSM and the likes of Lineker , Collymore , Richards et al will be stumped .

How are they going to spin it ? One day the Millwall fans are racist for booing ‘ taking the knee ‘ and what the BLM movement represents , three days later they are cheering their players ‘standing up ‘ against racism and inequality.

Just thought I’d post this . It really does sum up the poisonous left and their spiteful view on life . He goes by the name of AKRed .

Millwall’s approach tonight sounds a far more sensible approach to getting the message over regarding the unacceptability of racism. The sooner BLM are dumped the better. I hope Rovers and the rest of football take note as this is sadly going to get messy and the message will be lost.
