I'm not saying its not true but why would the guy on reception know all this info? I do think he will go and if we can get good money and one or more players with the cash then I'm all for thatJust been to Ewood Park to give blood.
I was talking to one of the chaps that work in the reception area afterwards and he told me that a deal has already been struck to sell Dack in January for £25m. He wouldn't name the club though.
Apparently, ToMo has identified three key players that he wants to use the money on and if those deals can be agreed then he's happy to sell.
Could be a load of old cobblers but just passing it on.
I don’t know how he would know about it but equally why would he make it all up?I'm not saying its not true but why would the guy on reception know all this info? I do think he will go and if we can get good money and one or more players with the cash then I'm all for that
It's a theory but I've always reckoned that selling your best player is the biggest disincentive you can get. Look what happened when we sold Alan Shearer. The whole town went on a downer.Jeeez... How many times have we been through this 'will he, won't he' shite? First heard by yours truly when Fred Pick was still in the blue and white halves and I've lost count of the number of times since. 25 m and I'd snatch their hands off! Will people never learn that we are a trading club, just the same as Accrington Stanley, Liverpool and Man Utd are? The trick as ever is to have the next star man lined up.... something which we have singularly failed to do in 90% of cases!
From wiki.... Bradley Dack's manager at Gillingham between 2015–2017, Justin Edinburgh, has described him as "the catalyst of [our] team..full of energy, he is tenacious, he has quality and he is a top player – definitely Championship quality", adding that he "probably covers more ground than any other player".[29][30]
Note he didn't mention Premier League quality.
As far as the rest of the squad Al... if they perform well for the rovers, score lots of goals etc then they too might get a dream move. It should be more of an incentive imo than a disincentive.
That's because TP thought Per Pederson could fill Shearers boots! If we had bought Robbie Keane back then as I'd have liked then our history might have taken a different course. It's a theory but I've always reckoned that selling your best player is the biggest disincentive you can get.
